One night in a bar this one fella
Ate a chicken strip squishy as jella.
__For five days, on the pot,
__He prayed to be shot,
Thinking: “Huh. So that’s salmonella.”
Not feeling better yet?
Do you need anything? Like a ride to a Doc-in-the-Box?
Let me know. You have my e-mail address.
Most Confusing Thread Evar.
:smack:
lissener’s sig line has never been more appropriate.
After two days of the most. Expensive. Antibiotic. EVAR–plus percocet–I’m not audibly whimpering in the dark; I see a light. I do appreciate the offer though. But hey, I got my first ride in an ambulance this week, so there’s that.
Ahh, but did you get to ride code? (Lights and Sirens)
Hope you feel better soon. Let me know if you need anything, that is, besides a sub for Tuesday, I don’t do public speaking.
I might actually be there.
Thanks again for the offer; I might get desperate for a ride to the grocery store. Cans of chicken soup and gatorade are heavy on the bus; specially when your cramping muscles are still shaky.
Now I’m wondering what to do about it. I can’t really prove I got the salmonella from the place I know I got it, right? Although, Tuesday, I had oatmeal for breakfast, broccoli for lunch–both in my own kitchen; neither hotbed salmonella vectors–then chicken strips that night, one of which I noticed was suspiciously squishy in the center. Next day, I got salmonella. They’ll say I got it somewhere else.
I’d have to sic the health department on them, right? But, should I try to get my hospital bill covered before I do that? I can’t pay a lawyer, so I’m still trying to make sense of this on my own.
It’s pretty hard to prove. Salmonella’s incubation period can vary as much as three days.
Public Health is your best bet. They would go in, unannounced, and check the way everything is handled. You’d have a better case, if other people got sick in the same time frame. The health dept, would have a list ot other complaints about the place too. If they’ve had other violations you’d have a better case.
When Round Head in a Crate got dinged for E-coli, they didn’t admit anything until 5 kids were hospitalized.
And now I have hives.
Expecting locusts by morning.
I was already not excited by that bar’s food, but after seeing their King County restaurant inspection results, I think I’ll stick to hard cider.
