Add my {{{Hugs}}} to the pile, Wry . I got nothing better than that. I hope it all passes quickly.
Hugs
In 1996, I had a year of non-stop tragedy, much like you are going through right now. At the time, a good friend told me “the universe doesn’t give you anything you are not strong enough to handle”. My initial reaction was to say “then I wish I weren’t so strong”.
Over time, I learned to appreciate the wisdom of her statement - and to realize that some hurts just don’t go away. One has to make peace with them and just learn to co-exist. It does get much easier.
More Hugs
LifeonWry, I’ll be thinking about you. Sorry for the run of bad luck, and I hope your Dad’s surgery goes well.
Take care.
Sorry to hear about all the sadness, LoW. Hope it helps to know that there are a lot of us out here thinking about you and hoping things will start looking up really soon. Your friends and father-in-law are lucky to have someone like you to be there for them - that’s really important.
More hugs and good thoughts headed your way…

Once again, heaps of thanks to you all.
You know, I always used to wonder if sending online sympathy and hugs was doing any good for the people I was sending them TO. It seems like such a small thing, just to take a minute to commiserate, but of no “real” use in a crisis. Shows what I know. Each of you who have posted in this thread took on a little piece of my misery away for just a minute or two, and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it.
Since I seem to be blocked in the crying area at the moment, I decided to rent a sad movie. Somehow it’s always easier to cry when it’s not for yourself, you know? I plan to curl up on the sofa with a pint of Ben & Jerry’s and a box of kleenex and sob my heart out tonight. I’m aiming for catharsis. See y’all tomorrow.
{{{{{{{{{{{ALL OF YOU}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
Here. Let me take away another minute.
{{{LifeOnWry}}}
~hugs LifeOnWry~ Hang in there. It’s tough to deal with so many problems coming at you all at once but things will settle down. Right now everything is overwhelming. You have a lot of support here.
I always found that Steel Magnolias is a great movie to cry with, FWIW.
