I'm setting my staff's pagers to "stun"

Oh, what the hell. It’s still early in the year, and nobody has pointed and laughed at me yet.

I don’t understand why this is funny. :o

What’s a CV? Is that the MD’s version of a resume?

Educate me, oh enlightened ones.

Being allergic to glucose would probably mean rapid death since your body’s entire method of fueling itself revolves around converting food into glucose, and then using that glucose for fuel. (I’m remembering this from long ago so that’s a vast oversimplification.)

CV stands for curriculum vitae, and yes it’s a resume for doctors/academics/scientists. It tends to also include stuff like licensing information, papers published, and so on.

I’m wondering this, myself.
My favorite, though is still the guy threatening to go to private practice because he’s too rushed by the idea of seeing seven patients a day. The only doctor I can think of whom I’ve met recently who does even close to that is my father’s neurosurgeon.

What this guy does ain’t neurosurgery!

Bravo for the OP! More details please

But if you stun him, you’ll get even less work out of him!

Duh. Call up “Home Depot”.

D’oh! :smack:

But my own job satisfaction will go up at least transiently. The RN staff will be happier too, which also improves work climate, if not productivity.

Don’t feel too bad, Ivylass. I read that, and thought a sugar free diet was very reasonable for someone allergic to glucose. I didn’t bother to wonder whether someone could be allergic to glucose…

QtM, I take it the patient got bored and was looking for an excuse to go see you all?
