I'm so happy I can't stop crying...

How about “Coral”?

Caoibhe (pronounced kweeva)

Congrats!!

Congratulations hardygrrl to you and your family!

I’ve got one more good “C” name for ya, in fact we liked it so much we used it for our little BOJ:

Carlie

(click on my hp for a pic of the cutest wittle giwl - 11 mos. at the time)

Why do people keep suggesting “Congratulations” as a name? Granted, it makes a handy nickname (congrats), but still…

Update

It’s official.
IT’S A GIRL!!
Her name will be either Caitlin or Clarissa.
::Breaks into a happy dance::

Congratulations, baby!

And may I respectfully submit:

Cheri?

Best love, honey. I am so VERY happy for you and yours.

Cheri

Caitlin is my little girl’s name. It was taken for my Grandma’s whose middle names were Catherine and Katherine.

Ok, poor punctuation on my part… s/b Grandmas with no apostrophe. Grrrr

Congratulations!

It seems the polling for names is done, but how about Carla? That’s my sister’s name.

Congrats! Have fun shopping. I think shopping for baby girls is one of the most fun things to do ever. You won’t believe how high the level of “awwwwww, how adorable” can get.

Congrats, Auntie Hardy!
I’m sorry I missed this one the first time around.

I’m sure whichever name your sister chooses will be beautiful, but I’m voting for Caitlin.

Rose

Tell me about it. I’ve already bought the Cutest Dress Ever for her first pictures. Pink with tiny daisies embroidered on it. And I’m knitting a blanket, pink and white.

Caitlin won’t work. Neither will Clarissa.

Be bold. Defy convention.

How do you feel about Slip?

If you don’t like it, Mahoney would be a nice name for a little girl.

Think about it. It’ll grow on ya.

Wednesday, March 26th.

It will be Carly or Caitlin’s birthday.

A scheduled C section. Hopefully I will get out to Utah soon so see my niece.

Crosses fingers
I hope it all goes great! We will be demanding pictures!!

She’s due in less than a month and you’re just finding out now?
I like Corazon for a name.

I’m voting for Clarissa - it’s more elegant and more unusual than Caitlin.

Also - you already have a Cathleen in the family - Caitlin is the same name as that (in Ireland they pronounced it Cath-leen not Cate-lynn).

But why not call her both? Give her one as a middle name. Then her initials will be “CC” - which is a nice nickname in itself.

Clarissa Caitlin HardygrrlNiece

how about Cait? The Irish spelling of Kate, but its pronounced differently, and I cannot spell it phonetically. It’s an irish pronounciation thing

Cos thats where it comes from

And it’s actually more like Cot-leen than Cathleen. (The best I can do for a phonetic spelling of Cáit is “kawtch”.) Even though the American version of Caitlin sets my teeth on edge, I have to say it’s a million times preferable to Clarissa

And congratulations, hardygrrl.

I absolutely agree. C_Caitlin. C_Clarissa. Either one sounds good to me.
