Only, hopefully this will be a good test. I’m going to take my driver’s license test. Hopefully I’ll pass. I will be missing my first class, but that’s ok. Classes can wait…but Monster needs to drive!

Audrey, they are so many ways that cruel teachers can make you suffer I’ve already had two “major” tests, sorry about the slight hijack Monster. Hope you do really well on the test.

In Minnesota, on the second day of class, they have the oh so wonderfull basic skills practice test. This is followed by the end of year ‘real’ test.
The point of these tests is to assure that the kids have learned the basics. If you can’t pass the test, you get to look forward to more classes until you can. Must make for a fun fall and winter knowing you failed the practice test.
Nice idea in theory, right?
Well, it turns out the test was flawed. A number of questions on the test had the wrong answer listed as correct.
Net result?
A whole bunch of kids didn’t graduate, and were held back, even though they had actually passed the tests. Missed vacations, missed jobs, missed summer fun, all because of a simple test. These lucky few got to spend the summer in school.
What a joke. I’m so glad I’m out of this mentality of what is right and just for kids proposed by an aging group of do-gooder jerk-offs.
If it was so bad before, how the Hell are you able to learn what is ‘right’ now? Ironic.
Sorry to be pissy, but you couldn’t pay me enough to be a kid again with the amount of Bullshit they have to contend with these days.

Good luck, Monster! I finally took mine last year, and passed - I’d been driving five years by that time, though (different driving laws in Ontario).
Knock 'em dead. No, wait. That’s something you DON’T want to do. I think that’s an immediate fail - “Oh, you killed a pedestrian? Hmmm… but you did everything else on the test correctly, even the parallel park and the three point turn… Oh, we’ll give you the license anyway. Just try not to do it again.” Nope, can’t see it.

I’m well out of High School myself. I followed this new statewide policy of testing and requirements because it keeps reminding me of what it must be like to be a kid these days.
Sheesh, it was hard enough when I went through it. Why not make it harder on them now, ehhh?
