First, I stole Geobabe’s idea about looking for a roommate and now I’m stealing Poysyn’s idea for coming up with a business name. I’m THAT uncreative.
I’m starting a pet sitting/house care service, focusing on cats
(because there is only one dog bldg. in our complex, but the rest of the bldgs allow cats and there’s about 12 bldgs with about 30 units per bldg)
I’m planning on offering the usual pet sitting services
for while owners are away, plus stuff owners don’t want or can’t do…nail trims, shave matted fur, give medication, change litter box…
Our cat sitter calls her business “Kritter Kare” which makes me gnash my teeth.
How about “The Cat Nanny?” I like that. It’s not overly cute, it’s sorta got that “you cat is your baby” groove, plus it sounds like a person (not a corporation), and “nanny” has some cachet because it’s usually only the privileged who hire one.
Joey, brilliant as always…except these are older folks who gripe if the grass isn’t cut at the exact same time every day, I don’t think they’ll get it.
(And before you get too attached to any one name, be sure and check your state’s business name directory, it’s difficult to be really original. Any name that sounds good might be already taken.)
