I'm tired of this Minty Green character

Damn, man (or woman) go on vacation of something.

Everytime I go to a thread and have something really coherent to say on it, you have beaten me to the punch.

You have pretty well covered exactly the point I wanted to make in a clear concise way that relegates me to posting “uhh… me too”.

Worse yet, you’ve usually phrased the arguement far better than I would have had the time to do.

Do you think you could do some serious drinking or something to lower the quality of your posts every now and then?

Thow me a bone!

Fucking lawyers.

Cite, please?

Damn… I just noticed… you are in Dallas too.

We ought to go get a beer sometime. I need to meet more people around this place that are not completely impervious to reason. It might give me a better impression of the populace in general.

Y’all should be careful. Minty is very likely a lawyer for The Clique[sup]TM[/sup].

And when I say “this place”, I mean the North Texas area.

Beer, eh? Must be part of your nefarious plot to reduce the preemptive quality of my posts. Yeah, that’s right, I’m on to your little scheme. But on the other hand, it is beer, so I’m game.

Hey, where’s Cajun Man’s legal disclaimer?

ooooohhhh… even better.

See, if I play my cards right, it could be very beneficial to my personal ascension.

I am 100% in favor of that.

Abe “Joe Boilerplate” Babe,

Well then. Have a favorite watering hole?

I like getting a drink at the bar inside Pappas Bros. I say this because, when I say, “get a beer”, I mean that in the generic sense and may get something better. They always have what I want, no matter how far afield my thirst may wander.

Of course “The Flying Saucer” usually doesn’t suck either.

The Flying saucer? Good little bar! Let me know when and I"ll toss back a pint with you. I used to pimp food for the Pappa’s Co. and they are way overpriced even for a beer, as I remember…

–==the sax man==–

Yep, if all I wanted was beer, Pappas wouldn’t be my first choice… But, if you happen to be really serious about wines, brandies, ports, and the like… I’ve never seen a better selection anywhere.

As for when: As it so happens, the SO has a massage and adult tumbling scheduled for tonight. I have lots of time to kill.

You are very clever, scotth. It’s well known that The Clique[sup]TM[/sup] silences its critics. But, you’ve thought far enough ahead to offer them beer. Yes, very clever.
And of course, you’ll never even tell us when they let you join.

Today is out because I’m busy with briefing in a couple of cases. (Not for the Clique–the cheap bastards never pay their bills.) But the Flying Saucer sounds great to me, and I’m sure I can get the future mrs. green to join us. If tomorrow (Friday) sounds good to you, why don’t we call it for 7:00 p.m. at the Flying Saucer? Probably could put a quick announcement over in MPSIMS and see who else wants to join us too.

I suppose we could ask a mod to move this thread to MPSIMS, but I bet somebody will be by here to flame me for real before long.

Ok…

Thats a deal. 7:00 is good for me and likely for my SO as well.

Now, as far as which Flying Saucer. Unless otherwise stated, I am heading to the one on Greenville Ave.

It at 1520 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX to be specific.

Of course, complete confirmation will come when this thread dissapears in a day or two. You will know that it was to hide the evidence.

Oh damn… I need to shut up, or they will kick me out for revealing their methods.

There’s a Flying Saucer on Greenville? Not according to the Dallas Morning News, the phone book, or the Flying Saucer web site. I was planning on Addison. If anyone can confirm a Flying Saucer on Greenville, though, I’d be very happy to avoid the drive to South Oklahoma.

Well shoot scotth, now I’ll have to flame Minty myself.

Minty, I bet you write briefs for defendants.

Flame?! That was a burnt out 40 watt light bulb.

Minty, since you are so wise in the ways of the law; is it possible to get copies of briefs submitted to the 5th District Court of Appeals?

Yep, Greenville’s closed: http://www.beerknurd.com/dallas/brews.shtml

The one in Addison then?

Robb: You mean the (Texas) Fifth Court of Appeals in Dallas? You can get copies of briefs by going (or sending someone) down to the clerk’s office. You have to pay for the copying, of course. The Texas Supreme Court is starting to post on its website the briefs on cases it has granted review, but the courts of appeals are not doing so yet. If you need case names/numbers/docket info/opinions, check http://www.courtstuff.com or the Texas Courts web site, http://www.courts.state.tx.us
