I'm Too Old For This 5h1t - a Venting MMP

It appears that 2 hours is about my gardening limit for now. In that time, along with going to the garage and the shed for forgotten tools, I planted a cherry tree, transplanted 2 small azaleas, 7 small hostas, and 3 clumps of daffodils, plus a clump of something that I can’t identify but I’ve got tons of it. Then I planted the 4 roses and 2 primroses and a wild wisteria that I’d given my mom and she gave back to me. I put all the ground cover plants near the roses and I’ve got a sprinkler on them right now. Plus I talked to a few neighbors passing by.

**FCD **called while I was out there - he’s arrived at the gathering of the bikers and I assume they’re having lunch before they begin the poker run. I think he said they’d be leaving the eastern shore around 3 or so, stopping on the way home to eat. He’s supposed to call me before he leaves dinner - I need to make sure his car is out of the garage so he can get the bike in there.

Meanwhile, my lunch of leftovers is heating in the toaster oven - nuking leftover shrimp and clams seemed wrong. After I eat, I might go out and rake. We’ll see how I’m feeling.

It’s a glorious day here - wish our patio furniture was already here so I could sit out and enjoy it. Oh well…

$2.99 - if no one comes forward and volunteers to start the next MMP, it falls to whomever decides to do it. Are you volunteering???

I had an idea for one. I’ll start it late tonight.

Was it unladen? An African or European swallow?

Howdy Y’all! Home from deheathenization and have had N.O.L. 'Tis rainy and dreary out and we are promised tstorms and such for later on. We shall see.

We have a motion on the floor…

All in favor of spaz gettin’ us started off tomorrow say “Aye.”

AYE!!!

All those opposed [del]sit down and shaddup[/del] say “Nay.”

::crickets::

The “Ayes” have it. Spaz shall start us off with [del]a make your own waffle bar[/del] a tale of life at Stately AgonyAuntRyl Manor or sump’n like that.

I think I need a nappy poo.

**FCD **just called - he decided to opt out of the poker run portion of the afternoon because his back was hurting him. So he’ll be home in a couple of hours. I’m going to go mess in the yard a bit more, then get a shower - I feel mega-icky. As chilly as it is, I did work up a bit of a sweat…

Irk is slow.

I hate when it’s slow, I get bored.

I know as soon as I get into doing something interesting the phone will ring.

Showered and dressed and feeling less grubby. I raked out another bed, pulled some weeds, and snipped back some forsythia that was getting out of control. Tomorrow, I need to drive the mower over all the leaves I raked out and mulch them up, and then I think I’ll plant my ground cover specimens in random arrangements on the hill. I may even define the random areas with rocks, just to be artsy-fartsy.

But for today, I’m done. My sweetie should be home within an hour and because I’m nice, dammit, I already moved the car out of the garage so he can ride his bike right in.

Time for some online sudoku, I think…

Ahh crud.

I didn’t put the lid on my thermos flask properly, and now my bed’s soaked in tea.

<snerk> Nuts soaked her bed! <snerk>

One time I was drinking tea at a friend’s house. I accidentally spilled some on the crotch of my pants. My friend asked if I was all right. I said “I’m okay, it just looks like I peed my pants.” And he said, “You tead your pants.” :stuck_out_tongue:

taxes filed
cleaning up all the scraps of paper where I did the figures
cleaning up the mess that is my desk

still have some copies to make of other forms for the mtg company

I’m hungry so I may sign out for a break or maybe just log out

then everything that has been dragged out will have to be sorted and put back away
and that is one more chore I can cross off my to do list

now life can get back to being more normal

I’ve been awake for nine hours. I think that’s enough, don’t you?
Last installment of the week - I’m going to see another place tomorrow, which seems nice in the description, but there are no pics other than the outside. Closing will probably not happen until week after next. The way things are going - I’ll be living in my car!

You and a cat and twelve rolls, cramped into a car…This does not bode well.

Dreary, rainy afternoon in Jawja. No tboomers/apocalypse just a steady rain which is nice.

Rosie appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed re the apartment.

I made pimento cheese that would be the envy of everyone at the Master’s. I just had me a pimento cheese sammich and a glass of milk. Just does not get much better than that. I also have steaks marinatin’ cause tomorrow is men’s night over to the church house.

Had a bagel with cream cheese for dinner.

Apple pies in the apple are in the over and almost down.

ground beef has been packaged and in freezer.

Well the kid just informed me that the pies are done. I can’t wait to try one.

Left over apples with leftover pie dough that looks like a sloppy mess is going in the oven. It won’t be pretty but it will probably be edible.

I’m debating running the taxes to the PO or just wait until tomorrow.

The apple pies baked inside the apple aren’t all that good.

A little too tart and the crust was a little too crusty.
I think next time I’ll add a pat of butter under the crust and try to scoop out more of the apple.

The kid said he didn’t like it much, and then ate two of them.

We’ll play with the recipe.

I usually bake mine in the under untl they’re almost up.

Oh like you didn’t think one of us would do that! :stuck_out_tongue:

I am jealous.:frowning:

Blurfed, Bad inventory through no fault of my own.

I hate my allergies. Apparently they’ve decided to have a mid-life crisis and change their mode of operation. Used to be I’d just get horrible sinus headaches. Well, I had one of those this morning, so I took a Sudafed and an Aleve. Thought I was fine until about 5:00. Then I stood up and started stumbling around like an old drunk. So I took a hot shower. Then the room started spinning.

Spent the last two hours in bed lying on my side because that was the only position that woudn’t make the room spin around. I just got up to turn the crockpot off and looked up my symptoms on Dr. Google. It seems my allergies have decided to get my inner ear involved.

Tomorrow, if the room stops spinning, I shall be getting a bazooka to shoot my allergies in the face. Yes, I’m going to have to get Benadryl for this. I do not like Benadryl but it’s time to get serious about this. I hate being nauseous.

:smack:
I had to go back and reread mine

I’ll tell you my eyes are scrambling everything today
