I'm willing to wait, but curious.

Using Netscape, what does it mean “Error 714, signature unavailable with your current browser”?

It means that someone has a sig that reads “Error 714, signature unavailable with your current browser.”

Thanks, that’s a great load off my mind.

It probably means that your current email client is (or the settings of same are) not compatible with some signature files. The only reason I can think of at the moment why that might be is perhaps the sig file in question contains HTML and your email client is not HTML capable.

Manual HTML-free sig line #23

I would guess it’s referring to a digital signature (like Verisign) rather than a text or ASCII sig. Either your browser is old, or the signature itself has a problem making it invalid.

Vera

No, no, no. It means that someone, I think it’s Sofa King if IIRC, has typed those actual words into the signature box in his profile.

You just never know what sort of clever stuff dopers will use as a sig to to be funny (or to fool the not so computer literate, which, is the definition of funny to a doper).

Peace.
