I’m not a terribly emotional person, but when I was 20 and first read this, I cried. I’m 49 now, and it still makes me cry.
And my point, again, is that it’s not a stereotype about men. The premise is merely that there exist some people who think women’s outfits can be blamed for what they are wearing.
The statement in the OP specifically mentions men, and depends on the false premise that men consider periods worse than rape.
It’s so absurdly wrong and frankly bigoted towards men that it undermines the message of the rest of them.
Her campaign would make more sense in Saudi Arabia.
