Hey I am not trying to be mean here but I do have this fixation on the male “member” lately!
The sea going services have a dummy used for practicing man overboard drills. The person initiating the drill detains a crewmember and then throws the dummy overboard and times how long it takes for the “man overboard” to be noted and reported. The drill proceeds with the recovery of the dummy and an accounting for the presence of all the personnel, the detained crewmember must be reported as missing.
The dummy is always named “Oscar” after the “O” pennant hoisted to the yardarms to indicate a ship has a man overboard.
So… Oscar (dummy) pick a side, port or starboard.
