The Africa thread poster did not advocate sending Black folks back to Africa, he thought Black Americans could go to Africa and Westernize the continent. It wasn’t evil, just naive. Certainly, the legacy of slavery needs to be examined, and it’s better to show someone his error than flame him with indignation.

I was more talking about the attitude that when a black man commits a crime against a white man, the general attitude of the media and civil rights leaders is that race should not be involved; but when a white man commits a crime against a black man, the immediate question is whether the white man was a racist.

A true example of reverse racism: A young black woman was at an intersection in a car with her white fiance. Along side them, a car pulled up and shots were fired. That young black woman (who was driving the car) was shot in the head and killed. Why? Because a white man didn’t think it was right for a “nigger” to marry a white man. (I saw the trial for this case on Court TV. Check the website if you want a reference, it should be there.)

I want to be able to draw my own conclusions, rather than just blindly agreeing with you.
Citations (or cites, a bastardization of the verb, “to cite”) are simply references to authoritative sources. At their best, a solid citation is to original data (rather than sources citing the data, which is alos valid). If I say, “secondhand smoke is bad,” I can then cite the studies performed by x, y, and z researchers, and the data they produced. It doesn’t help my argument any to state my claim and then say “oh, go find it yourself.”
In this case, the most authoritative data are the posts to which you refer. If you were to provide them to us, specifying which ones you felt were racist, we would likely be much more patient with you and would be able to discuss it (and perhaps disagree) civilly.
Now, if it’s simply an opinion, we still need to know upon what you base that opinion. If your opinion is soundly based and you can say not only that you believe something, but why (with examples), again, civil discourse is much more likely to ensue.
That being said, Needs2Know, I disagree with your assertion that “Many threads are started here just to ridicule [Christians].” Please, could you point some of those out to me, so I can understand why you feel that way?
