Oh. I just realized that the name of the thread is not my doing. I am not defending Russia per se. But may do so or opposite as the facts pertain.
I hope the interactions were not too angering.
You inspired me to check out the search functions more.
Wondering how hard it is to get 7 years back. As i recently did a dumb harder way to search back one of my own posts.
Thanks. I may use what I found in the future to make things easier.
If you’d be so kind and inform us when you start doing so lest we not notice the difference?
Allow me to point out that the Turkish word for cat (Felis catus) is kedi. And that Erdogan is our friend and ally. Learning a lot from our enemies.
Just coincidences, of course.
It is a fairly common occurrence that facts tend to one side or the other. Seldom do the facts split evenly to describe the reality of two opposing situations.
Of course, opinions can span wide gulfs.
Or create them.
Facts should be devoid of opinion.
My statement of fact, does not mean it is my opinion.
kedikat is indeed inspired by a past pet.
She was a beautiful pure white medium length haired. Got her from the shelter. Named her Kedi. So timid at first. But what a fun cat she came to be. Loving. Not the least bit fussy. Playful as hell. Odd eyed. One green one blue.
I used to use a picture of her as my avatar some places.
I am glad you had one friend in your life.

PPPFFFfffffftttttt!
Anyone who supports the Russian side in their invasion of Ukraine is either evil/fascist or a fucking moron.
But. Seeing as the rules are lax here for off topic. What do you think of the Syrian situation?
Seems some other western democracies so concerned with sovereignty are busy fucking over, invading, destabilizing another sovereign country. That has not attacked them. Or threatened them in any real way. Except for having oil.
I was too amused to be actually mad.
But maybe not so off topic.
Except for the oil aspect.
Russia/Ukraine.
US/Turkey/Syria.
Big guys using little guys for their ends.
Little guys suffer.
I get worked up. But not mad. Snarky, but try not to be too crude.
I said what I came here to say, that’s it. You were asking for it, I obliged.
Judging by what spills over to your posts, your mother tongue must have an interesting and complicated grammar. I don’t understand much. The referene to having oil is cryptic to me.
Re: deflection and off topic. Yeah, Syria was probably Obama’s third or fourth biggest foreign policy blunder. So what?
So what?
Syrian, Turkish, American lives are so what? in Syria, but Ukraine/Russia is horrendous?
So what?
No, you’re a fucking moron (and quite possibly evil/fascist too).
Language is not ethnicity - or national identity.
Look at the Republic of Ireland.
Percentage of population speaking English = 99%
Percentage of population speaking Irish = 1.7%
The Irish do not consider themselves English.
President Zelenskyy is a native Russian speaker. Do you think he considers himself Russian?
Loads of Ukrainians on social media, who are very much anti-Russian, communicate in their native Russian language.
To quote a great thinker:

From Wiki.
Result
According to CEC spokesman Mykhailo Lysenko, a total of around 2,883,000 people voted in the counter-referendum. 69.1% (1,968,619) of those polled were reported to have voted in favour of accession to Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, 27.2% (774,912) voted against accession to Dnipropetrovsk Oblast or separation from Ukraine as part of the Donetsk and Luhansk republics, and 3.7% (105,411) voted for separation from Ukraine as part of the Donetsk and Luhansk republics.[77]
After a few months, due to the Ukrainian military’s control of Dobropillia Raion and Krasnoarmiisk Raion, they remained as a part of the Donetsk Oblast with no accession taking place.[citation needed]
My words now. It is not clear where the Wiki paste ends. 2,883,000 voters versus 1868 sampled in the poll.
Of course there are many who dismiss the results of the vote for various reasons. Depending instead on a poll conducted by a foreign institute.
