You’re so patriotic about your “father’s” country that you blame the United States for Putin’s attacks. That’s quite an interesting position to take. Care to explain how that makes sense?
So. Putin says he wants to reclaim the former, now sovereign, countries that were in the USSR. He launches a war of aggression against a sovereign nation that poses no threat to Russia. And It’s the fault of the United States? This makes absolutely no sense. Putin is doing exactly what Hitler did, and yet he’s blameless?
That makes about as much sense as the komrade’s father being Ukranian. That’s some quality trolling, though; isn’t it?
No. He does not say that. Others put those words in his mouth. I recall that he did roughly say, If one does not miss the USSR one has no heart. If one wants to recreate it, one has no brain. He knows it is stupid to try and remake the USSR. It is the thing that broke the thing.
He wanted a good European security agreement that would keep peace and security for Russia and all the countries. All his attempts to further a mutual security agreement were ignored. Meanwhile the west churned out never ending plans to carve up Russia into obedient subservient stans. See Rand Corp plans and others. Oh, and also the rest of the world as well. U.S. uber alles.
Yes, he did say that. He only wants to annex or bring into the Russian fold the countries that used to be in the USSR. Not recreate the USSR, only to take over former Soviet republics.
Putin didn’t want NATO on Russia’s border, so he had to illegally and immorally invade Ukraine. Only… suppose he actually wins? Then he’ll have a NATO country on Russia’s border. So then he’ll have to invade Poland. And so on.
Putin and Russia are absolutely, positively, 100% in the wrong. Putin is a Nazi.
The peace negotiations that almost went through at the very beginning of this shit show, would have left Ukraine almost whole. Only Crimea would have been conceded to Russia. Crimea was already a somewhat sovereign state, with separate rules from Ukraine as a whole. Russia demanded neutrality, no NATO. Which was almost the status quo at the time. NATO was in there a bit already, but not much.
As far as illegal and immoral invasions and such, including wars, uninvited military bases, funding and supplying rebels and terrorists. Russia is not leading the pack in that.
Neville Chamberlain would be proud of you.
I think the real war is the BRICS and economics. Military and economic war is intertwined in all of this. Some western countries are losing their control. They have hollowed out economies and huge debts that are supported by being reserve currencies and economic and military leverage, That is waning,
‘Just let us have the Sudetenland. Then we’ll be satisfied.’
See the count of foreign military bases of Russia versus some other countries.
Trite.
All I see is all of your deflection.
So you see the U.S. as the shining city on the hill? The peacemaker. Helping out all the rest. The good Samaritan.
Who the flying fuck are you responding to?? I think it would be a good idea from now on if you quoted what you think we are saying so that the rest of can get a peek at these imaginary conversations you seem to be having.
So sorry. I have stepped out of the rules of the pit. Figure it out.
You guys rant away. Stupid vapid responses. I should be clear and concise?
It is obvious that there is a group think here. First and foremost to vent on me in whatever lame way. Then to spout a side without any nuance. ( Excepting a few folks who do )
Regurgitate unproven and sometimes dis proven things. And jingoist crap.
So my replies even if not specified are pretty much on target with scattershot.
There is a kind of “groupthink” here, in a way.
There is the vast majority of the group that can think…then there is you.
I am curious if any of you have bothered to regularly watch the Duran and or Alexander Mercouris media.
Or is your attention span too short.
They have been very consistently correct. When incorrect, they admit it.
Also the New Atlas. In which he lists every source he cites for you to verify yourself.
The cites are most often western media and government sources.
Very little in the Russia/Ukraine war has surprised me as I follow these sources and a couple others.
They consolidate a wide range of information and sources.
You folks seem deaf and blind to the reality of this situation compared to the depth I have learned historically and currently from these sources and others.
To be honest.
Alexander Mercouris can be somewhat painful to watch at times. By now he really should have polished it up a bit. But factually and speculatively it is still good.
Putin is on record saying that Ukraine is not a real country, Ukrainian is not a real language… and despite zero evidence of Ukrainian threats against Russia (it is to laugh!) he made the choice to invade and kill thousands upon thousands.
Putin’s choice to invade a country he doesn’t think is a real country. His own words.
Fuck lying propagandists like @Kedikat.
