They’re caretakers, which now that I think about it matches what I know about you… and of course, “taking care (of people)” sort of implies either “worrying a lot” or “being a mean sonabitch who’s just bossy and doesn’t really care,” which is a different personality type.
I finally took the tst. I’m an ISFJ. From the reading I’ve done, it seems to fit.
BIG FIRE last night, story tomorrow. Stay tuned.
PieBringer, you need to whap TVMan one upside the head. If you don’t want to do it yourself, I’m pretty sure Mr. Lissar has a team of trained ninjas who can take care of it for you.
Are you starting us off tomorrow, McUne? I have you down, but if you’re not comfortable, I’m sure someone else will jump in…

I re-took the personality test and it came out INFP instead of INFJ. The thing is that I am always wavering between a P and a J, and either way I never get over a 5%. The INF has stayed pretty consistent, although I usually score below a 10% on I. My F scores are usually well above 70% though. I am a creature of pure feeling, apparently.
Looking forward to the story, VBob.
Yup, I’m up for tomorrow. I will post it around midnightish central time tonight.
Speaking of that I need to get pictures uploaded!
Excellent, McUne!
I just took the quiz again and came out INTP (44,88,31,22). I think I was only 10% J last time, so I suspect I’m on the edge of Judging and Perceiving, too Haze.
Gotta go get ready for dinner…
GT
I’m making stew in the crockpot. That’s about all I’ve done today that’s useful. Oh, and I did a load of laundry.
It’s been a nice, quiet, day. Cold here, too.
((((Pie))))
I’ve just returned from the grocery store. Ugh…what a pain.
As I was leaving my son asked me to picked up a three way presentation board because he needed it tomorrow. So, the place I normally go to was closed, Jo Anns didn’t have any, which meant I had to run to Michaels. I did the grocery shopping and kept thinking I was forgetting something, and as I was leaving the driveway of Safeway, I remembered it was the presentation board. Damn.
This is when I went through the hassle of trying to find one, as described above.
I found out that we’re going out to dinner tonight with my husband’s nephew and his significant other and they’re meeting us here. Greeeeaaaaaaaaat. Now I get to clean furiously before they get here at 5:00.
The place needs to be cleaned anyway, I just hate having a deadline because now I’ll become all stressed and cranky.
So, why am I sitting here and doing this? I don’t know, I should start, but I just wanted a couple of minutes to catch my breath.
I found a decent stuffing recipe and I’ll be picking up the rest of the ingredients for that either tomorrow or Tuesday. I wanted something different than the same ol’-same ol’. I found a good cranberry recipe and I’m going to let the rest of the family worry about sides such as veggies and such.
So, I’ll have the turkey, stuffing, taters, gravy and cranberries. I think that’s fair.
Also, didn’t someone post something about a pumpkin cake in here? If so, please share the recipe, it sounded good.
Off to scrub…

I came out as INTP (with ‘N’ also at about 10% or less) in the past. I can’t remember what the ‘N’ means, just right now, though… :o
Ceratinly the “introvert” part is spot on (OK, only IRL, not here…). I’m surprised the “Thinking” is as moderate as it is, though.
snowbunny did you get that tp? :dubious: No one said you needed a year’s supply, but would it kill ya to keep an extra four pack on hand for emergencies? What if you get snowed in? I know yore mama taught you better!
I’ve been busy today! We did go to church this morning, then to lunch. Then, I came home, changed and went and picked collards. I came back to da cave, washed up (collard pickin’ is a dirty chore!) and began makin’ corn bread for the dressin’. I’ve also dusted and vacuumed the place. Maybe tomorrow I’ll clean bathrooms. I have decided that I will cook the greens Wednesday morning cause it’s ok to do that. Matter of fact they’re better when they’re cooked, refrigerated and reheated the next day. I can also mix up the dressing, pour it into baking pans and refrigerate that. I can put the turkey on TDay morning. I can bake the dressing in the convection oven. Plus make gravy just before everthing is served. That’ll work.
BBBobbio I can’t wait to hear about the BIG FIRE!
Haze sometimes I think CherryRaySue ain’t got nuttin’ on you.
Last load of laundry in the dryer. Dishwasher has been emptied and refilled. Kiln is emptied and all the pieces have been waxed for glazing. I’m hungry, but I don’t know what I want to eat. So I’m just drinking some wild cherry flavored water.
I’m having a hard time getting psyched up for a 2-day work week. But I want to accumulate maximum leave before I retire so I can spend my last couple of months on the job on vacation.
**FCD ** is making a PB&J sammich. I think I may just have a bowl of cereal. <insert deep, sad sigh> I have such a rough life…
Ooooh-kay.
Well, after that last little roller coaster ride it turns out I didn’t end up having to change my plans.
The* theoretical * reason that we need someone to check on the dog is because of the travel time involved with doing anything where I live. It’s two hours round trip from TVMan’s place. Then add in the actual activity time and by then it’s most likely that the dog will need to go out and pee. I say ‘theoretical,’ though because apparently she needs to pee more frequently than that anyways and has been trained to do so in her crate. Yes, it is disgusting. But I don’t see what the big deal about it is if that’s already how she’s been trained. Let me clarify. She is free to roam the house and essentially is using the crate as her litter box. Other than the ick factor I don’t see why we’re always worried about keeping our schedule adjusted to dog potty times. And, so, today I mentioned this and he said ok and also at the same time TVParents called and said that they would try to be home in time to let her out, too.
Enough of that subject. We had a good time at lunch. And afterwards we went to The Akron Children’s Hospital Holiday Tree Festival to look at all of the trees. It was kind of neat and gave me a little holiday spirit. And also somewhere in there an idea floated into my head to take control of the Ugly Holiday Situation. I mean, I own a commercial kitchen, don’t I? Why not have my own holiday dinner there and whoever wants to show up can or cannot. Maybe it will be a good new tradition for us all.
TVMan is upstairs sleeping right now. I tried to take a nap with him, but wasn’t very tired. Now I’m sitting here on the couch all bundled up. I know that the thermostat says it’s 69 degrees, but it really feels more like 39 degrees. Think I’m going to watch Mary Poppins and heat up my lunch leftovers.
I’m surprised it’s that high.
You weren’t actually expecting that to pass by without comment, were you?!
I only read thru page 7 because I just got home- Thank Og the raffic was light both ways (except for construction delays going over the Throggs Neck Bridge (which, as a child, I always called the Frog’s neck Bridge) In the new MMP, I shall tell all and post pics of my little cutie Jon. Right now, I am going to sleep!
All sleepy from a hard day of doing nothing. Well, almost nothing. I made some nut brittle and a lot of totally excellent stew (with bacon and wine). Aside from that today hasn’t been productive.
I think I’ll have some chocolate pie and go to bed soon, so I can get up early and go break heads about my paperwork. See you all in the next MMP!
No wonder it’s cold in here. It’s sixty-FIVE, not sixty-nine degrees. Brrr…
Anyone still here? Work went ok. I have fish, rice and broccoli cooking(first healthy meal this weekend  ) I saw a truck in the parking lot with the vanity plate JOEBEAR. Sounds like a transporter accident between swampy and JoeDawg:“I don’t need ACBG to appreciate me, I can lick myself now!”
BBBobbio, I can’t wait to hear about the BIG FIRE
Snakes lost last night, but there were a couple of good fights. And I got a hug from my favorite hockey player afterwards, too.
Hockey games don’t leave enough sleep time. I am tired. I am off Monday and Tuesday, then work 4-10pm Wednesday, 12-8pm Thursday, and 8am-4pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This schedule sucks.
Glad you worked things out, Cutie Pie. Hi Roo!
I’m home and about to crawl into bed. Went to friend’s house for dinner and took leftover birthday cake. Yum. Of course, the dinner before it was yum, too. Had entirely too much food today. Very nice seafood crepes for lunch (with a saffron cream sauce - very fancy) and then a nice quiche and salad for dinner. And cake!
::Waves at everyone and wanders off to beddie-bye::
