Doing fried potatoes and peppers with some fried eggs for lunch.
That’s about the most exciting thing that’s happened today. That’s good. The weekend was too busy, and I’m recovering slowly. I was going to do some big reorganization today, but I think it’s too much work. I just want to putter.
**Lissla, ** did you get the oven element situation squared away? Seeing as how your oven is a Kenmore, it should be very easy to get a replacement element from a Sears parts store.
I haven’t managed to do anything today, and I’m liking it just fine, thankyouverymuch.
I do have some laundry to do, and I need to do a couple of other things. Maybe I’ll get to them, maybe not. The laundry will be done, but that’s about it.
ETA: I always leave the 'L" out of **Lissla’s ** name, so had to correct it
I don’t have bile duct cirrhosis or any version of hepatitis, so the liver issue could be genetic. My doctor has ordered a slew of blood tests and an ultrasound. I need to lose weight and lower my cholesterol, and then if the numbers aren’t headed down in a month, they’ll do a biopsy. How ironic is it that the teetotaler in a family of alcoholics has liver problems?
Best wishes to you Shadow, I hope they find out what’s going on.
Um, I’m beginning to wonder if we could get a sticky about the MMP. I’m glad to see people want to start MMPs, but still, it kind of throws people off, I think.
Still nothing exciting going on here. I guess the wind gusts have been pretty powerful in some areas, 92 m.p.h, for instance, but so far, nothing really big down here. I think Tacoma, which is slightly west of me, got a 54 m.p.h gust.
I’m going to look up Sears stores today, and go get a replacement. If I can get the element out (small space, and I’m not very bendy right now) I’ll buy a replacement tomorrow. It’s easy to remove the burner coils- I figure the bottom element should be relatively easy to take out, too.
The landlady will pay me for the new one on the weekend.
Make sure you take the oven model number with you, Lissla. For the most part, I think, elements are universal, but every once in awhile you run into something weird.
My tummy is rumbly. I think I need to scrounge up something to nosh on.
I left the bit about shimmering nipples because I love that phrase. I’d like to use it in a sentence, if I may…
After her plunge through the Mt. Kolunaluna waterfall, Cherry RaySue looked down to see her string bikini top around her hips and her nipples shimmering in the rainbow mist of Mt Kolunaluna. Cole narrowed his gaze at the sight and moved toward her, the sunlight gleaming on his torso…
I may need to write the whole book some day…
Nothing like a pacifist, are ya, Mindfield? Hee. I’ve got the homemade traps–I wanted reinforcements. I am so grossed out by this. I am Nature Girl–outside. Inside, I am decidedly not…
I think I may have a career in writing badly. Didja notice the subtle attention drawn to his shimmering nipples? But I didn’t make it OBVIOUS-I was deft there. yeah. I was. His torso gleams. Uh huh…<channelling repressed Harlequin romance writer geek>
We got a call from the VW dealership. The timing belt tensioner failed, screwing up the timing belt and the various pulleys in the installation. The service guy suggested while they’ve got the front end of the car all torn apart, they should just go ahead and replace the water pump - after all, the car is closing in on 140K miles.
Bottom line, assuming they don’t find any other issues: $2100. We should get it back on Weds.
Oh the other hand, we found a $25 Best Buy gift card we’d forgotten about, so there’s that…
I’ve finished 2 loads of laundry, and the 3rd is in the dryer. We had an early supper since we had a late breakfast and no lunch - the crock potroast was yum. **FCD ** is doing the dishes and I’m relaxing.
Hmmm. Cover art is so important, no? MUCH more important than the content of the book. It’ll have to have a waterfall–excuse me, a cascade-on the front, as well as a buxom lassie in a string bikini, and a ripped man with a gleaming torso. Just for shits and giggles, I’d like to put a Hobbit somewhere in the background.
The title could be: Cherry RaySue Goes There and Back Again. It has a certain ring to it, no?
You all may be watching the start of a new career for me–cheap erotic fic aka pulp softcore porn! I’m excited! I mean- um, never mind…
Rigs, I want an advance copy of Cherry RaySue, should you ever finish it.
Not much going on here - the Princess and I briefly contemplated going to see “Bee Movie,” but she didn’t seem too enthusiastic about it. So we’re home now, watching kids’ TV and drawing pictures (her) and doing housework in between visits to the Dope (me).
While you’re in the corner, I’ll need a heated argument scene for CherryRaySue-There and Back Again, preferably one that leads to passionate embraces wherein she feels his manhood pulsate. Could you work on that? I’m making dinner. Ta.
We’ll all be waiting with bated breath for the novel, rigs. Maybe you can fit it into your grad school curriculum somehow?
Prayers and good thoughts headed your way, Shadow.
Ow…the car repair sounds…not cheap. Boo.
I’ve been extraordinarily bad, although I did order some Christmas presents online. Brother is all taken care of and Mom is started. I think I found the correct games for the nephew - gotta double check those. Amazon seems to be having a major sale on sets of TV series DVDs. Each season of Mary Tyler Moore cost me $14.99. Yay! Ordered Bacon Salt earlier - several people on my list are getting that just for fun. Also got some recycling together.
I’m thinking I’ll be glad if I get some stuff shredded and the fridge cleaned out…
Gah. I hadn’t planned on doing a novel this month (hey-they all got a headstart!), but I’ll work on something tonight. Heh.
#1 son has to go to the library right now. Dinnner is done. I made home fries with olive oil, Parmesan cheese and garlic salt, with sausage. Our sodium requirements have been met.
