It’s apparently not a new story, but came back up in this week’s indictment. A former doorman at Trump Tower claimed that Trump had a baby with an employee (a housekeeper) in the 1980s. The doorman said that he approached AMI (which publishes the National Enquirer) with the information in 2015, and claimed that he was paid $30,000 for exclusive rights to the story, which was then buried.
The second article below (from this week) includes this passage from the indictment statement:
So, as I read it:
- Doorman tries to sell a salacious story about Trump to the Enquirer, when Trump is running for president in 2015
- Enquirer buys exclusive rights to the story, to quash it (much like what they did with Karen McDougal)
- Some investigation by the Enquirer leads them to decide that the story likely isn’t true, but they decide to keep it hushed until after the election, anyway
I want to hear about the Boeing Air Force One deal that got renegotiated and then Boeing got a sweet deal order from Saudi Arabia . That will be news.
(just an example , but I think happened in some form) He has been extorting contractors for years.
