My secondary email acct. is at Yahoo, so I check over there a couple of times a day. (Well, more often than that – one of my current suitors uses that email address – but I digress.)
A couple of months ago Yahoo updated to a new version, and the associated “Yahoo Mail Loading” animation continues to delight me. They have a little nerdy guy who is on a loop during the load – the first one was him bouncing up and down on one of those big balls with handles; the second was him breakdancing, with boom box; then shadow boxing; then a break for him riding a bucking reindeer for Christmas; then being chased by an ostrich; and the new one just came on today – he’s blowing heart-shaped bubbles for Valentine’s Day.
I don’t know why this tickles me so much but it really does.
Yeah, all of those long lost relatives come out of the woodwork whenever they find out you have a lot of money. They must have heard that you won the australian lottery.
I noticed this morning they went back to Little Nerdy Guy bouncing up and down on his ball. Hmph, thought I, I can’t believe they’re repeating already.
I’m just glad they’ve extended the cookie login life. It got a little annoying to have to enter my password after reading each paragraph of an e-mail.
Hyperbole, yes.
Yeah, my alternate e-mail is still Yahoo, I also like the improvements to the layout and functionality of the beta version. It doesn’t look so comic bookish.
I used to use the beta and then somehow by mistake went back to the old stale version I wish i could get that guy back…I was always rooting for the ostrich to get him…
