In sports terms, how big of an *upset* would a Trump victory be?

Most like the 1951 NL pennant race. At some point about the middle of August, the Dodgers were up by 13 1/2 games. During the ensuing 7 weeks, the Giants made up the deficit and caused a three game playoff for the pennant. Behind by 3 runs going into the bottom of the ninth of the third game it looked to be all over, until Bobby Thompson’s 3 run homer ended it (one run had already scored in the inning).

That’s what it would be like. Starting out game over, then gradually pulling even and the winning on the final recount.

2001 Patriots?

I’d call it analogous to the Mulkey Brothers (a jobber tag team, regularly served up as raw meat to put over the stars) beating the Road Warriors (legendary tag team, roided up muscle bound dudes) in a shoot (real fight, not worked like a regular pro wrestling match).

To me, it’s like a series where the public gets to be the referee and lets Team Red cheat at will and waves off even the most egregious fouls (“Ha ha! What a card! Boys will be boys! Racism, sexism, everything else-ism, Ha ha! He doesn’t really mean it and we don’t really care!”)while penalizing Team Blue for the same few infractions over and over and over again (“Emails!! You bad, bad girl!!! Two points to Team Red. Let’s punish you yet again! In case you forgot - emails! Two more points to Team Red. You should know better than that! What do you have to say for yourself? Explain! Two more points to Team Red.”)
