In what film did you first notice & love your favorite movie actor or actress?

Ellen Page - Smart People. Average movie, but she was amazing.

Chloe Moretz - Amityville Horror remake. Shined in Let Me In and of course Kick Ass.

Eric Bana - Black Hawk Down. Was great in Troy and generally underrated IMO.

Salma Hayek - Snake Dance… nuff said.

Jennifer Connolly - Dark City.

Sam Rockwell - Galaxy Quest. Was also great in Moon.

Michale Biehn - Aliens and Abyss. Always liked that guy.

Another vote for Natalie Portman in The Professional (I was dumbfounded at how gorgeous she was/is). She’s still generally my pick for prettiest girl in the world.

Jennifer Connelly in Labyrinth.

Jennifer Jason Leigh in Fast Time at Ridgemont High.

I think I first saw Paul Newman (swoon!) when I was in junior high school, in Cool Hand Luke. I was more impressed by the egg-eating contest and the tag line (“What we have here is a FAILURE to communicate!”) than by Newman.

By the time I was in high school, I was full of raging female hormones when I saw Exodus on TV.

Life has never been the same, since.

In my college dorm room, I had a black and white poster of Paul, with just the blue eyes colored in.

Those dreamy blue eyes are closed forever now, but I still drink Paul Newman’s coffee and enjoy his salad dressing on my tossed greens.

Ooooooooooh, Jennifer Connolly in The Rocketeer … dressed in those V-neck cashmere sweaters … phwroooooooooar! :stuck_out_tongue:

Dick Van Dyke; Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Marilyn Chambers; Insatiable

Timothy Dalton in “Scarlett”.
Love him!

Isabella Rossalini - Cousins
Mary Stuart Masterson - Some Kind of Wonderful

Yves Montand, in On A Clear Day You Can See Forever? Him singing from the top of the (then) Pan Am building in NYC.

Uma Thurman in Henry and June.

I first fell in love with Hugh Jackman after seeing him on stage in Boy from Oz. What a great song-and-dance man!!

I avoided seeing any of the X-Men movies, wanting to keep my image of Hugh as a song-and-dance man. But I finally broke down this weekend, watching X-Men 4 (Wolverine) and 1.

Holy Mother of God. Jackman owns that role. Nobody better ever play Wolverine again!!

I remember watching Sophie’s Choice and thinking the guy playing Nathan was doing a great job. It was Kevin Kline’s first movie role.

Juliane Moore- Boogie Nights

In Beetlejuice, when she turned around in a chair all of a sudden and there she was, SHE about blew me away-“Who is THAT?!?”
