Hey, Brewha, I hope you’ll maybe check in and lurk once in a while, and maybe it’ll grow on you. Yeah, the load times can suck eggs, and I get timed-out fairly often when I try to post, but for me, the good outweighs the bad.
I’ve had my ignorance fought on numerous topics by the great posters on this board. There are lots of good eggs on the boards and I hope you’ll come back some time and give it another shot. Take care!

The board definitely isn’t nearly as funny as it used to be. I used to have to choke back laughter on a daily basis. I’ve recently taken to re-reading old threads that cracked me up. Even threadspotting has gotten really weak.
Still, I’m staying. The spelling is superior to any other board on the web, and that means a lot. A lot more than it should probably. 
Somebody already said it. Damn one less Wisconsin poster. Taking a break is good at times. I’ll see you later. First you’ll lurk, and then you’ll need to post.

You must be. There are far too many on these boards that go into attack mode the minute they disagree with something or someone. Sometimes it is tough to take the high road. I used to take it personally but the same people do it over and over to different posters.

Yep. I chose to put a few people on my ignore list because I found them to be way too venomous to interact with. I agree with you about taking the high road; you try and they keep trying to bring you down. The funny thing is that they are the first ones to show admiration for the other jerks. If you need to compile a list of potential ignorees, just look at the next pile-on thread. You might end up including a couple of moderators.

I’ll just add to the chorus of other Wisconsinites who have mourned the passing of one of our own. I’m sorry that the voices of a few have made this place untenable for you, brewha.

Sure, the boards are really active and have a large group of posters, but there are plenty of other places on the Internet that offer intelligent conversation and proper grammar. They may not be as large, but the content is very good. And for particular topics, the information may be even better.
