In which I pit the braindead monkeys who run CBS.com

March Madness pushed my beloved Survivor from Thursday to Wednesday this week and because I forgot I missed it. But I took solace in the fact that CBS wonderfully posts full episodes of Survivor online. So this morning I head off to CBS.com and load up the Survivor video site.

It loads, the episode begins, and then…

The corner of the player is taken over by an image advertising an interview with this week’s bootee.

You idiots! People specifically use your online episode service because THEY MISSED THE EPISODE AND WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED! Is that really so hard of a concept to grasp!

And while we’re at it, why don’t you put full episodes of The Amazing Race online as well? I’m sure it’s a licensing issue with the big bad Bruckheimer, but what the fuck, if you can show clips online you should be able to show the whole episode of a show that is constantly delayed by, you guessed it, March Madness.

Go Jayhawks!

Ooo, I would be so pissed if that happened to me. I hope you wrote them and expressed the same complaint you did here.

Ahem. That’s Rock Chalk, Jayhawk, KU!

Well, aside from the fact that you blew out any creditability by admitting to liking Survivor, that was a pretty brain-dead thing for CBS.com to do. I take it you emailed a complaint?

I plan to complain, I just haven’t yet.

And Survivor is great. Only another braindead monkey would feel the need to denigrate someone else’s TV watching habits. If you don’t like the show fine, but no need to attack the people who watch it.
