Inadvertant pornographic road names in your town...

I’ve mentioned this before and it’s not a street, but a ZIP Code name I ran across at work. I still can’t believe they actually named a town Humptulips.

Ruby,, there was an e-mail list floating about last year concerning “Ways You Know You’re A Hoosier,” and one of them was being able to say “French Lick” without lauging.
I-465 crosses over Lick Creek on the south side of Indianapolis.

Ashurst Street (“My ash hurst now!!” - ok, it’s a bit of a stretch.)
Bentwood Circle (OUCH!!)
Bangor Drive
Bonanza Lane (Could be a title, I guess)
Bountiful Place (sounds more like a porno name)
Mariposa Drive (only dirty in Spanish slang)
Manlove Avenue
Lick Creek Boulevard, Circle, Court, Drive, and Parkway
Flame[r] Way
Teddy Lane
Mockernut Court

DAMN, I love the zip codes by street listing!!

There’s a molybdenum mine in Leadville Colorado called the Climax hole.

In orlando there’s a “Raper Dairy” st.
In the cemetary, there’s a husband/wife tombstone that reads “Raper/Farless”.

Yup. They intersect at Innsbrook.

Of course any street that’s a cul de sac qualifies (if you translate the French).

In Birmingham (UK) there are a couple of areas, on the SW side (I think) which locals don’t seem to see the funny side of. “Out-of-towners” tend to chuckle tho’. They are …

Bangham Pit

Lickey End

There’s a lane called Nob’s Crook near where I live.

“What I want to know is, if I’m a lesbian, can I still adopt a highway? Isn’t there a danger I might turn it into a lesbian highway? Actually, I was on a lesbian highway a little while ago. I was driving in North Carolina and I saw a big sign that said ENTERING CHARLOTTE. I had just enough time to reach into the glove compartment and get out a dental dam!” - Sara Cytron

There is a small town here called Balls Creek.

“That’s just out past Penis Point,” said someone who was in my car once as we drove by.

Just north of Columbus is the infamous ** Peachblow Rd. **

Who in their right mind would name a street that?!

I used to live on Glascock Street in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Also, in Columbus, Ohio, there’s a Gay Street. There’s also one in Circleville, about 20 miles south of Columbus with a Gay Street and a Hitler Street. I always wondered if they ever intersected, leaving you with a Gay Hitler Street.

Do you live near me? (a suburb of Cleveland)
There is a Gay STreet off of Babbit Road and it is near a sports field…

I tend to be really jaded with goofy names, because I live in Beaver county, with various towns like Beaver, Big Beaver, Beaver Falls, and street names like Big Knob Road floating around all over the place…

Even our river is the Beaver River.

The company I work for owns it

Several years ago an uncle was talking about Nebraska and mentioned the Hershey Highway. His kids could barely contain their giggles so I added fuel by asking “that’s a dirt road isn’t it?” He acted oblivious to my question but I’m not sure if he was that clueless.

Dyke Farm Rd.

Cummings Rd.

I used to take art lessons on Gay Street. I was an 8th grader at the time taking classes for CCAD. funny coincidence!

In Binghamton, there are a lot of streets and schools named after Johnsons. We have a Harry L. Johnson Drive, and get this:
C. Fred Johnson Bridge AND Middle School. Of course we all call it See Fred’s Johnson, because we’re such adults.

Wadsworth Boulevard. Im glad I grew up on the other side of town.

“Have you ever seen the sign
Big Beaver, exit 69?”
