The new Senators being Warnock, Ossoff, and Alex Padilla, who has been appointed to fill Harris’ seat in the Senate. Once they’re sworn in, the Democrats will have control of the Senate. And not a moment too soon.
Correction: Edwin Eugene Bagley’s National Emblem March. I thought it was probably Sousa, too.

Out of curiosity, I looked it up and it’s actually by Edwin Eugene Bagley, not Sousa, although it sounds like him.

For anyone else who may have wondered, all attendees at the Inauguration had to be tested for Covid within 48 hours of the event and have a negative result. And all had to be wearing masks, as we saw.

Man, I just couldn’t stop the tears when Kamala was being sworn in. I’d wipe one away and another would appear in its place. When Joe was being sworn in, I think I just had a stupid grin across my face. The poet, all the singers (Gaga, JLo and Garth were just perfect picks; loved Gaga’s outfit and passion and emotion, loved seeing Garth run from president to president like he was working the stage at a concert! Amanda Gorman’s turn of phrase took my breath away at times). All in all I’m just over the moon right now.
