I just think it’s odd that DiggitCamara thinks it’s SO obvious. Not necessarily suspicious, just hella weird. And Diggit’s a good first vote. He’s certainly stirring the pot.

Allwalker has already noted this, but upon re-reading I think he is right here. This strikes as scum trying to find a reason for a vote.

What is worse is the comment about stirring the pot. Town is supposed to stir the pot in order to get the scum to come to the top. Scum would like nothing better than to keep quiet and have people vote for the noisy ones.
The earlier link to the previous gastard game I was in should make that clear. The scum that was busy posting got noted early but the quiet one just flew under the radar.

This is the snippet I was referring to. While Nanook votes in this post he also says he would prefer to wait until the results of night 1 before doing anything. This mildly anti-town, and if we weren’t forced to lynch I would expect a person saying that to vote no-lynch.

Like I said it is weak, but this is day 1.

but a vote for no lynch is ignored. so a no lynch vote is actually worse (from my perspective) than a non vote. because non vote could mean rl cropped up while a no lynch vote means you have time but just don’t want accountability.

There were 3 posters who voted for DC with little explanation and after a bandwagon was established - BillMC, ColdPheonix, Mahaloth. Add this to #187 where Mahaloth supposes a post restriction on DC - this point I am ambivalent on. In my eyes it looks like DC thought he was explaining himself when he wasn’t, and this could look like a post restriction, but it also looked like Mah was aggressively leaping on DC for not explaining himself clearly. (That last sentence doesn’t quite make sense, but I hope I am being clear. If not I will try again when not so tired).

Then there was the lack of unvoting after DC clarified his arguments, which Mah later said he simply forgot to do.

In short, I think Mah has addressed these points, but I can still see a Scum angle behind it. A Town angle, too, but when isn’t that the case?

1. I was kind of “nudging” by kidding in asking about DC having a post restriction. I assumed he didn’t, but it is a gasterd game.

2. I didn’t feel like I was being aggressive in my lean, but I guess I can see it if one is looking for scum, which we all are.

3. I don’t see a big scum angle to what I did, but I agree that it’s very hard to tell.

Anyway, I’m going to go through carefully today(by this evening or so) and try to see if I can see anything scummy about any particular individual. I’ll place my vote tonight, so others can see and process.

(I may well switch my vote back to one of the Diggit bandwagon-jumpers - I see no real difference between Mahaloth, ColdPhoenix, and BillMC on that front.)

I note we have one piece of information that will be very helpful–apparently when there is a tie, the first person to be voted in is the lynchee. At least judging by the “as of now X will be lynched at dusk”.

This was actually mentioned in the setup post:

3. The person with the most votes at the end of the day will be lynched. If there is a tie, whoever got there first on an increasing vote count or last on a decreasing vote count dies.

Or to put it another way, whichever person was most recently the vote leader will be lynched.

You are completely misreading what I wrote. I said we should wait for the results of Night 1 before we start speculating on what the set up is. Go back and read the beginning of the Day. It was all discussion along the lines of “I bet we have 5 NKs, 12 docs, and a partridge in a pear tree!”. Once a true Night has passed, we’ll be better able to judge what we may or may not have in terms of set up.

Anyway, I’m in a bit of a situation. I don’t know who to vote for(don’t we all), but I have a few ideas.

I still think Normal Phase’s comment about “how long we went” with not votes was weird and was a really, really, lame way to lead into his vote for texcat.

However, I am not in the position to be able to be able to just vote for anyone. I’m on the chopping block and I know I’m town, so I have to protect myself, as did Diggit.
