Inblourious Gasterds Mafia

I think this is a total copout, since it basically gives you up to three free votes if we accept this as a reason.

Unvote DiggitCamara
Vote TomScud for giving a “reason” to vote that boils down to “I can vote randomly and no one can call me on scummy voting behavior.”

:sigh:

I’m not sure I get why I am so deserved to die today that people are still not removing votes from me. I mean I get why someone has to go, but I think a few things have happened in the last 12-14 hours that should get some people to reconsider. :frowning:

At the very least, DigitCamera should remove his vote fro me because it was a self-defense vote. I did remove my self-defense vote from him when I realized I could. ???

Tom Scud has clearly laid a very weak band wagon vote on me that basically says, “I choose the guy with votes on him” and has no solid explanation. This was perhaps the lamest and most scummy vote of all.

I mean, Scud just accused me of bandwagoning with Bill and ColdPhoenix, then choose me because he can ensure my death?

What in the world? I can’t believe that is going to slip by in this game.

Unvote Normal Phase

Vote Tom Scud

Vote: Darth Sensitive Day 1 is such crap shoot anyway. Might as well vote for someone who hasn’t been around very much.

Went back and read Normal Phase–I don’t really get this. We went too long with no votes (like…hours?) and then texcat voted too SOON? This is pinging my radar, too.

Though I’m keeping my vote on Darth Sensitive because it makes good sense to flush out the nonvoters.

And then Mahaloth voted for me.

Well, what can I say except that I voted with less than a day left on a weekend, and put it on where I thought it had the highest chance of leading to a scum lynch. I don’t see the case against Normal Phase, and besides I don’t want to punish players for putting down first votes, particularly on day 1. Tomorrow, we’ll have at least one and most likely more solid datapoints to work with, and my suspicion that there’s scum in that group of three players will only be one of the ones I will be looking at.

(Assuming I don’t come home and find myself dead, as I’m not going to be back today).

Anyway, my vote stands.

NETA: Sorry, forgot to bleach my post.

:snipped:

Uh, you did see that I pointed out your bandwagoning earlier, right? I couldn’t afford to change votes then, but I have to try now.

Yeesh!

Can we get a vote count?

It would be foolish for me as a townie to not be trying my absolute hardest to get my point accross.

Isn’t Tom Scud’s vote for me and his initial explanation in this post the most scummy and worst explanation for any vote you have seen? I mean, should townspeople really allow a post like his below stand?

Read Tom Scud’s vote and “explanation” here:

  1. He give no reason to think I’m scum other than that I have votes and wasn’t the first to vote for DC.
  • My vote for DC no longer stands, by the way.
  1. He is essentially asking town to give him two free passes on voting for Bill and ColdPhoenix, since he can just list them as other “bandwagoners” toMorrow.

  2. He is pretty much saying, "never vote for the vote leader or you look suspicious, then he “votes for the vote leader”?

Doesn’t this bother anyone but me?

I really want to be in this game and I have to try to reach through to you guys. Please sign on before 3 CDT!

Second the request for a vote count; I tried it just now and got different results both times.

In the meantime, Freudian Slip makes four people who’ve all seen my vote for texcat in the same way, to the point where they all pretty much point out the same things and omit the same things. So it seems likely the problem lies not with their logic, but with mine. And it’s unfair to single out Mahaloth when they’re all saying the same thing.

unvote Mahaloth

Which leaves the problem that I have no one to vote for. Tom Scud for hypocrisy? I can’t get behind that in itself – the game only presents so many reasonable options at any given time, and so everyone gets a little hypocritical once in a while. Tom Scud for offering himself three “free” votes, like Zeriel argued? Maybe. Better than “lynch the not-really-a-lurker”, anyway.

vote Tom Scud

(NETA regarding my first paragraph: Or at least, with the way I presented my logic. I still think the basic idea is sound! Maybe one day I’ll get the chance to argue it on neutral ground.)

:snipped:(to get to the relevant point) and :bleached:

Was his vote ever adequately explained for you, AllWalker?

Uh, ignore that frowny face. Weird coding there.

Unofficial vote count:

Mahaloth (4): Nanook, DiggitCamara, AllWalker, Tom Scud
DiggitCamara (1): ColdPhoenix
Freudian Slit (1): Gryff
Darth Sensitive (2): freudian slot, texcat
normal phase (3): darth sensitive, zsofia, peeker
tom scud (4): billmc, zeriel, mahaloth, normal phase*

*normal phase did not unvote texcat before voting mahaloth, tho did unvote mahaloth before voting tom scud. Dunno whether the mods will count this vote.
As if stands, Mahaloth had 4 votes first, so still has his head in the noose.

It’s Freudian Slit, not Slip! The slit is what makes me a gal!

DiggitCamera, can you please remove your self-defense vote from me?

And I’m not a slot either, Bill.

Freudian, I respect getting rid of Darth, who was barely active and made one brief appearance.

Do you see the lameness of Tom Scud’s vote on me, though? If so, are you willing to remove the vote from Darth and put it on him for it?

I feel it is town’s responsibility to do everything we can to make our case heard until the end.

Bleached.

As somebody who is always the godfather (there’s no godfather in this game guys so I’m not him! :D) this kinda thing is incredibly scummy. You don’t make any kind of case for while Mahaloth is more scummy than the others, you pick him because you can get him lynched, and he isn’t your scumbuddy.

Unvote Normal Phase
Vote Tom Scud

Yes–if it’s coming down to you and Tom Scud, I’ll go with him.

Unvote Darth Sensitive
**
Vote Tom Scud**

Normal Phase, your first vote for Mahaloth did not count because at the time you had an existing vote for TexCat which you did not unvote. However, since names are not required (though, are nice for reduced chance of mod error) for an unvote, you’re unvote of Mahaloth will be registered as an unvote for TexCat, and as a result your vote for Tom Scud will register.

Vote count update in a bit.
