Not voting wasn’t a strategy. I had no strong suspicions on anybody and didn’t see the point in doing a “me too” vote on Darth.
Re my previous post. I didn’t see the point as he was being lynched whatever I did when it came towards the end of the day.
I don’t think it is a good plan to lynch the lurkers unless we actually look at peoples’ posts and strip out the fluff. A lot of people have got a lot of posts asking for/serving drinks at night and discussing things that aren’t game related. I don’t have a problem with that but if I get lynched because I don’t join in with that then that’s not good play.
The question I’m asking myself now is, should I post lots of stuff unrelated to the game and start “me too” just to avoid the lynch?
ColdPheonix, I wouldn’t worry. No one is going to vote for someone like you based on post count alone, as you are actually contributing. Still, the more everyone posts the better it is for Town - up to a point.
Given that it’s all been town that have been killed and we are fast approaching half the population gone, I think the no scum but a few serial killers is looking more likely. I can’t think of any way to identify them other than cop reports though. Hopefully we have cops and they get lucky tonight.

I agree that the Night time posts are pure fluff, but I know I’ve been contributing in the main game as well. May I ask why you did not vote on Day 2?
Forgive me if you already addressed this; I didn’t see it.
I mentioned it earlier, basically because I didn’t have strong feelings in any way about who got voted out as nobody had raised my suspicions. It was clear that **Darth **was getting lynched, a vote for him or anyone else wouldn’t have changed that so I didn’t see the point.
The same thing’s happening today. Nanook’s being lynched purely due to lurking. There’s no real evidence that he/she’s scum. But to stop my non-voting being raised again.

It feels like a me too vote and that I’m jumping on this bandwagon that’s formed. **Nanook **nor anyone else has raised my suspicions. People are not giving anything away and (possibly as we haven’t lynched scum yet) the voting records aren’t helping. I’m just voting as I get questioned when I don’t vote, again it looks like **Nanook’s **going whether I vote or not.
I think the fact that **Darth **wasn’t scum should show that my not voting wasn’t an issue. If I were scum I’d have jumped on that bandwagon to get rid of town.

I’m not sure we’re yet at the point where we can afford to base play on the idea that “no scum” is the gastardliness of the game. There have been perfect scum victories before, after all, and the last game I was scum in was won in part because the town made bad/unfounded assumptions about how many scum there probably were.
The danger of thinking you know more than you do about the composition of the anti-town force(s) (or the game in general, for that matter) is that you get complacent and miss things.

I don’t know if we have any cops. It’s my opinion, at this point, that if we do and if they have anything to report that it may be time to do so. Keeping in mind the value of confirmed town.

If the Cop has discovered Scum or SK by now I would be disappointed that they haven’t come forward. In that case, I would suggest that any Cops come forward toMorrow - 3 confirmed Townies, if nothing else, would aid Town enormously. Generally the rule is Cops should claim if they discover a badguy OR confirm 3 Townies.
Oh, but some of the confirmed Town might be dead already. I don’t know, but it seems we are growing desperate. I think we should seriosuly consider either full claiming or partial claiming (ie, only Docs or Cops or something claim) toMorrow - depending on what happens during the Night.
Yeah, ok I’m checking out of this game. I go through a bunch of crap to get my computer fixed, garnering votes in the meantime, come back and let everyone know what happened, and pick up even more votes. This is the laziest game of Mafia I have ever seen.
I’m not Town. I’m not Scum either. I’m your SK. Killing me is a Mislynch anyways, because I’m not a threat to Town at this point. I’m a threat to Scum, since I have to kill them to have a chance of winning. But you’re going to lynch me anyways because people are being lazy. I don’t care.
