Okay, I’ve just gone through the first days voting. Took longer than I thought (and I’m supposed to be working!) so I might do the other days later but I’m not promising anything.

Things we now know:

1. We have at least one doc who knows what he’s doing, since we had two kills before the vig died and two kills afterwards.

Things I wish I knew:

1. Why did Nanook lie and say he was a serial killer? Or was he telling the truth (and did he have incentive not to do so?) and the reveals are inaccurate?
2. Related to 1), does the fact that Mahaloth is supposedly a scum goon in the reveal indicate a) that he was actually a scum goon or b) that the mods are screwing with us.

Also, pending an explanation from ColdPhoenix, his comment sounds an awful lot like “I’m happy the doc lied about being an SK and then got lynched!”

Not so sure about the doc being correct or if we have one. Scum/vigs/SKs may have targetted the same person.

Why did **Nanook **lie? My WAG is that he was annoyed at being (in his opinion) unfairly lynched when he’d pc troubles and tried to stir things.

Pointing out that there are fluff posts. It’s a good point that there are a lot of fluff posts at night, but at the same time, I think most of the people who were posting at night were also the ones doing most of the day time posting. This comes off as defensive to me–a way of defending the fact that he hasn’t contributed all that much. You don’t have to post fluff–you can post suspicions, ideas, strategy, anything. Just don’t be dead weight.

A solid “me too.” I mean, he basically admits he’s just going along with the crowd. Which is what scum tries to do but usually are smart enough not to call attention to it. They try to slip by, voting people they clearly know are town, and often they don’t have good reasons and they just jump on a bandwagon. Here’s a guy TELLING US HE’S VOTING BAND WAGON.

As for not voting Darth, he didn’t vote for anyone else that day either.

Making or agreeing with the points that others have made. A lot of “me toos,” no real substance. It’s like his play strategy is don’t make waves. Someone who’s town might be afraid of getting lynched erroneously but a townie would also try to open up discussion. I think he’s scum who’s just trying to float on by.
For those reasons, Vote ColdPhoenix.

I think I have added to the thread as much as anyone else. My saying it was a “me too” vote was my attempt at transparency. You’ve jumped on more bandwagons that I have. I did the “me too” vote as I still had no strong suspicions but got questioned on not voting by **Mahaloth ** before!

Well nice to see I (and Zeriel) was right about Mahaloth’s slip on Day 2.

So we either have another vig, or an sk in play; and looks like Nanook chose well on N1, and N2 to prevent additional kills.

I’m not quite seeing the case against ColdPhoenix, I’ll need to have a re-read later tonight.

I didn’t get that far in the thread. If what you say’s true then it will be nice to have a couple more people that I feel are likely(ish!) to be town.

In response to this, in all honesty, I didn’t think Mahaloth was a threat. And after that it just seemed like people were on him so much b/c he was an easy lynch. Ppl wanted to get him first day and it was just easy to pile on a bandwagon. I never saw that case–in retrospect I wish I had, but it seemed like he was one of the only players who was pro-town…very few others were posting all that much and I thought for sure he was town.

Well, isn’t the likelihood of blocking much lower? If you want to kill someone, you just choose someone to kill. If you want to role block you have a much lower chance because not everyone has a power role.

Bill’s reasoning for suspecting you, Maha, seems a bit suspect. It is very nitpicky. I mean, I get what he’s saying–I just have no idea why it’s at all a reason to vote for someone.

Which takes me to: Nanook of the North Shore, ColdPhoenix, Zeriel all didn’t vote for anyone at all yesterDay though which pings me as really bad. A vote for no one is a vote for a random kill. It’s like you clearly just don’t care enough to take a stand. It’s like being dead weight. So, my FOS on all of these players at this point.

This plus the last of my quoted **Freudian **posts are why I did the “bandwagon” vote. I had no suspicions of anyone until now.

To respond to your claims, CP, I reiterate that I genuinely though Maha was a townie. I was wrong. Your posts though strike me as someone who has just gotten by saying or doing very little, having no suspicions, and is only now posting an analysis to get out of being lynched.

I’ll be the first to agree that I think unless we have more information about the role reveals vs. what people think they are, it’s impossible to determine the veracity of the role reveals.

I’d like everyone to consider claiming truthfully immediately before lynch if they are to be lynched–unless you are a PFK this will benefit you directly (by helping your team, scum or town, determine what’s actually going on) and if you’re PFK, you’ve just lost anyway when you’re lynched, so why hold back? =) I realize it’s late in the game for this kind of strategy, but one data point (combined with Nanook’s claim vs. the reveal) would go a long way.

This I think I could get on board with. It’s the only chance we really have of unraveling what’s going on.

I wish AllWalker had role claimed before he got killed. He was suggesting that we role claim, but I’m not sure if that was a subtle way of saying he had a power role or if that was him genuinely asking others to come forward.

I did sharks with frakkin’ lasers in the Pirate mafia and I didn’t want to repeat myself (also, I sort of assumed that Hoopy would just understand that they were sharks with frakkin’ lasers, but what are you going to do?). Go check it out. It was a very similar scene but with lasers instead of a sword duel.
