I do agree with some of ColdPhoenix’s argument against Freudian - some of the interaction with Mahaloth can be viewed as blatant snuggling – indeed, possibly too blatant if they knew each other were scum.
Zeriel, you seem to be suggesting that the flips are lies – the flipside is that the roles we have been given are lies, and we don’t know who we are. It would explain why Nanook thought he was SK, and that FS was a Doc – Nanook’s “kill” action on FS may have actually been a protect.

Hey, I would have understood them to be sharks with frakkin’ lasers except you specified that they were to challenge the lynchee to a sword fight. It seems to me that the whole misdirection (of roles) would actually be advantageous to scum. Think about it: They know who’s on their side, and should any of their number die, they’d know it.
I don’t think our gasterdly moderators would do that.

Well, they’re doing SOMETHING - I just don’t think Nanook lied. I just honestly don’t believe he would, or see why.
Yeah. If he was fed up, wouldn’t he just say, “Lynch me, whatever?” And if he wanted us to genuinely NOT LYNCH him, claiming what he really was (doctor) would make sense. That’s a useful role. But claiming to be SK is like a straight ticket to being killed.
There are 2 reasons why I think the role reveals are correct.
