Just looking for some clarification. We are getting a new double sink as they replace our counters. We were told by the counter guy that when they put in a new sink the existing flange always breaks. I can see that the sink one might, it’s just plastic, but the big ass insinkerator flange seems pretty substantial. Should I get one of each, or just the side of the sink that drains.
This may be an IMHO question…
Nothing lasts forever. You’re going to have to replace it at some point. Might as well buy an extra one now; you know you’ll have one that definitely fits.
This is my general policy with household parts. Buy extra. You’ll use it eventually, and if you mess it up fixing it the first time, you saved yourself at least one trip to the store.
