from one teen to another. I personally live in a small town with small people and small minded views… and yeah there are racial issues a lot down here. And I am from a large city where I was around many diverse people. And to be perfectly honest with you I love to see different nationalities because they just are never around that much… But as a person who is openminded and takes much pleasure out of learning about different backgrounds of people and such, I think it’s a beautiful thing to not have the typical blonde haired blue eyed look. And if I was you then I would embrace my difference from other people, and regardless of what shit India is going through, or has gone through, take pride in the fact that you aren’t like everyone around you. Regardless of the color of your skin, you’re different. Normalcy doesn’t exist, and yes you’ll have your ass holes that think that all people from the middle east are from Pakistan… and that should be a big warning sign that they are ignorant… And yes you’ll have your people that think that all people from the middle east are terrorists, but they’re ass holes too, and just be accepting of that, and realize that even though they try to belittle you, you can always know that they’re more ignorant than you, and you are therefore superior. Racism will always exist because people will always teach it to their kids, and they’ll teach it to their kids, and it’s not right, and it shouldn’t be tolerated but when you start thinking like them, and labeling the whole country as being something not to be proud of, then it’s really no better. And who said that being rich was a good thing? Possessions won’t bring you anything, and sometimes education doesn’t either. Ignorance is bliss and if I had the option of living in poverty and being with people I love and live with and going to a foreign, egotistical country, I’d choose the poverty. Be proud of the fact that India hasn’t been pulled into the yuppy commercial bullshit that we are all forced to deal with every day.

This is not entirely true. Yes, corruption does exist. But it is not as widespread as you make it out to be. It is definitely not the “only way to put yourself above those others”.
That is your perception of Indian food. I can understand it. But you must understand that most Indians love Indian food. I myself crave Indian food while i’m in Europe or the Americas.

To tell you what it was really like, i would have to write a really long book. And i’d still get it wrong. India is just such a huge country, with such myriad cultures and traditions. Such contrasting ways of life.
What i can do is to answer any objective questions that you may have and dispel any myths that you might harbour.
What the media portrays about this country is not what the country is about. That’s like me basing my perception of USA on what i see in hollywood films.

Yes there is. Calling people out publicly as sockpuppets is something that the Moderators and Admins have warned specifically for people not to do. And it’s rude.
Slicky is just being rude to you. That is not good, but it’s not something that impacts Board rules. However, the racial slurs that are being used could form a sound basis for a complaint to a Moderator, if they bothered someone.
Slicky, you are not winning people to your position by your use of racial epithets. If you give a shit about making an intelligent point and explaining your anger and position to people, then tone it down. I’ll listen to your point of view, just like most other people’s. But if you actually don’t care, and just want to be as offensive as possible, then go the fuck away.
They bother a lot of other people on this Board, and this isn’t a private line. And using them against your own race is no excuse for using them.
