It would be nice if people looked at the dispute we have here and ound things to take away and learn from it, instead of treating it as a battle to be won and lost.
But then, it would be nice if India and Pakistan had the same attitude over Kashmir, or if Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs had the same attitude over Amritsar.

Well, it’s probably my fault. I seem to have abad track record with wild animals. I was in Nara in '95, feeding some deer in the park by Todaiji Temple. You can buy bundles of flat crackers to feed to the deer there. Anyhoo, I had been feeding the cute widdle deer with these crackers when I ran out. I said, "Sorry, guys, I’m out, " and walked away.
As I turned, one of the deer rammed me right in the ass!

I’m sorry you feel this way, or that the TV or someone has told you how “hard” it is to be a teen today. But quite frankly, it’s bullshit. Being a teen today is the easiest it’s been in 8 millenia of recorded human history. And if that became a Great Debate, I guarantee that my point would be upheld.

Anthracite: Sorry you feel that way. I never heard this from T.V. but more from my amazing C.A.L.M. teacher (C.A.L.M.= Career, and life Management) and reading it, in magazines and newspapers and such…Don’t make me remember.
This teacher I tell you about had more life expeirience at 30 than people at 50 could normally have. Its crazy…
Anyway, being a teen is tough, I don’t know if you are a teacher but being in highschool is just fucked up sometimes. I am lucky to be in a school with a No Frosh Policy., but its still there and you could only understand if you were a part of the crowd, not observing. But, not just froshing, cliques, clothing, smoking, your appearance, how you act, who you “hang” with. Everything is judged. It’s quite sad, sometimes. One could never understand from reading it, again you have to expeirience what Highschool is like these days. Especially in the more ghetto schools. Eek. :eek:
