Every year, towards the end of the year, we get the back slapping excercises known as Awards shows.
With the Golden Globes just finished and the Oscars aproaching, I got to thinking about the lesser known accolades afforded by other industries.
I went looking for nonsense Awards. Not of itself being stupid, but Awards which really don’t have alot to do with anything beneficial.

I like the idea of there being, not only a Pipe Smokers Council,
( www.pipesmokerscouncil.org ) but a Pipe Smoker of the Year award.
The criteria are
1: It must be a public figure
2: They must love the pipe.
Looking at this gave me an idea.
what other pointless industry awards can we dig up from the net?
