Pouring down Rain, Cabin fever setting in, Mrs. Roboto replies, “Why don’t we go check out the new Costco store”? “O.K. Pancake,I’ll call and see if they are open” (Jan 2, Monday)

Mr. R…“Cypress” (CA.)

Information: “What Listing”?

Mr. R:… “Costco”

Information…(lots of suttle beeps & computer tones) “I’m sorry, I cannot find a listing in Cypress, would you like the number for Buena Park?”

Mr. R : “No” but how about…

Info: “Please Hold”, your call is being transferred to our first availble operator"

Operator: “What City”???

Mr. R: “Try Los Alamitos”

Operator: “I have Costco in Cypress, would you like that number?”

Mr. R: “Well I asked for Cypress originally and they said there was no listing”

Operator: “You asked for Los Alamitos sir”

Mr. R: "Well I…

Audio: “The Number is…”

My peeve with information is that it’s no longer locally based. Last summer I was in Boston for a few days so I decided to see if any tickets were available for a Red Sox game. I called information and ended up talking to someone who had never heard of either the Red Sox or Fenway Park.
