Ingooglible

Google it. It’s ungoogleable because it can’t be googled. If you google ingooglble you’ll goggle only gobbledygook, which also doesn’t come up when you google ingooglible, but it’s what you get just the same. Gag.

What strange times we live in. Howl oak and Yugo.

Within a short time (an hour or two), a Google search on “Ingooglible” will return this thread. (Google indexes all the SDMB quite promptly).

Good God, Giles, you’re right!

I don’t think that word means what you think it means …

(Sorry, but with the OP name and thread title, resistance was futile.)

Dammit, man, now you’ve gone and googled it!

Ingooglible + Mundane = Googlewhack

Did you mean: ungoogleable

I’m not sure. Perhaps a cunning linguist can explain the difference in meaning–for I’m certain there is one–between UngooglIble and UngooglEAble?

It’s probably similar to the difference in meaning between “gaol” and “jail”.

Probably the difference between unflammable and inflammable.

You mean ‘non-flammable’.

Yup, it is so.

I had that thought when Dave Gorman went on his Googlewhack adventure. As soon as someone posted one of his Googlewhacks online, it would be so no more.
