Insane working model of the 1966 Batmobile

YouTuber Batcarguy has built a real-world working replica of the Batmobile from the 1966 Batman TV show. Everything on it works, from the flames shooting from the back to the Batchutes to the guns that unfold from the door decals.

Here’s another video of the car in action against the Joker’s “Clown Victoria”:

THAT is dedication!

(The lesson here, kids, is to be careful of what online name you choose, because you’ll have to follow through on it.)

Engines to power, turbines to speed!

Very cool.

Another person from Ohio built a turbine-powered version:

Atomic batteries to power, turbines to speed!

“Rubber bullets. Honest.”

Batman: Check the battery.
Robin: (looking under hood) …what’s a “tery”?

My local mechanic works on one of those replicas.

The retractable parachutes bug me. Instead of building that silly Jokermobile, he should have outfitted a Batmobile Parachute Pickup Service Van.

I was thinking the same thing!

Roger! Ready to move out!

It’s a shame that Adam West has passed on. It would have been nice to get his reaction to this car.

“Go, make out machine!”
