No, Venus was never in the cartoon, she was only in the live action series that was out on Fox awhile back (4-5 years ago).
I remember hearing about that. My brother(also a huge Turtles fan)said it sucked arse.
But how did Venus come about if she wasn’t one of the original pet store turtles accidentally nuked in the ooze?
And if there was only ONE female Turtle, does that mean all the other ones would fight over her since she was the only female like them in the world and thus their only means of producing other similarly mutated giant turtles?

If Sarek (a Vulcan) and Amanda (a human) can mate to produce Mr. Spock, I see no reason why a teenage mutant ninja turtle couldn’t mate with April O’Neil and produce viable offspring.
A turtle has a cloaca, an all-purpose orifice for reproduction and waste removal (and some ‘breathing’ too). I could remember wrong, but I don’t think there’s any structure that comes out of the opening. And yes, ventral is the right word.
Spock was produced with a lot of help from 23rd century medical science. In any case, the turtles would have to have developed avaian or even mammalian metabolisms to maintain the level of activity they display and support a brain comparable to a human one.
that may be true; but its canon in ST that interspecies marriages can result in pregnency accidentally.
Correction: It’s cannon that interspecies marriges between SOME species can result in pregnancy accidentally.
That’s right. I specifically recall that on DS9 Jadzia and Worf had to go to Dr. Bashir for help conceiving a child as their two species (Trill and Klingon) could not do so under normal circumstances.
Anyway, we know that in the old Howard the Duck comics (and in the movie as well) Howard and his girlfriend Beverly slept together.
So I think the major obstacle to April having a relationship with the turtles is the afe difference.
I meant, the turtles are what, 16, 17, and April’s in her mid 20’s?
I have no problem with cross-species humanoid mating in the context of fiction.
In the context of reality it isn’t an issue, but if I were . . . well, it’d be complicated I guess.
Might be time to drag this over to “The Sex Life Of Superheroes” thread.
As far as the Turles existing in other universes, they have crossed over with “Savage Dragon” (big green and kicking asses) as well as with “The Flaming Carrot”.
And Usagi Yojimbo.
And Cerebus.
