Installers: Generic Product Spec's?

Is there an online source for free, generic specifications on various HVAC items? I am looking for something that should be readily available, and I really do not wish to reinvent the wheel for a commercial off the shelf item. Perhaps other SDopers have been in a similar position?

(Please, don’t get snarky with me…I’m in no mood. I got the weight of the world on my shoulders as 2011 is gettting off with nice, fat “kick in the pants” of a fine how ya do.)

Are you talking about sizes and materials of ducts, fans, filters, etc?McMaster-Carr seems to sell just about anything, and you can download spec sheets (and CAD drawings) for most things.
