Sylvester Stallone is apparently now endorsing a product carried by GNC called “Lean Fire”. Has anyone out there tried it yet?
Normally I am skeptical of all the lotions/potions/snake oil out there, especially in the diet supplement category (“Trim Spa, baby!” ). However, I just talked to a friend of mine, formerly in the medical field, who says she has lost 7 pounds on this stuff in the past week or so. She says she figures about half of it is water weight, but is still pleased. She is one of those people who tries everything that comes out as far as diet supplements go, and this is the first thing she says has ever worked.
I can’t seem to find any reviews on the web (well, not ones by anyone who is not selling the stuff anyway). So…has anyone out there tried the stuff? What has been your experience with it?
Lean Fire is produced by Instone, of which Sly is the founder and chairman. The ingredients appear to be a blend of caffeine, herbal stimulants, and 7-keto-DHEA, which is supposed to be a sort of “safe’n’sane” DHEA. In other words, speed and steroids. Speed almost always helps most people lose weight.
I appreciate the information, Nametag. I am sure that the “speed” part of the formula probably isn’t the safest thing you can take. But the part that really makes me hinky about it is the hormone/steroid factor. I just have to wonder what the effects of that stuff will be down the road. Guess we’ll just have to wait until these products have been on the market longer to see what happens to all the people who have made themselves human guinea pigs
Actual prohormones/prosteroids are going to be banned any day now, and a lot of the bigger supplement companies have stopped manufacturing them. Either this product isn’t what it claims to be (shocker!), or there’s going to be a new formula coming out really soon.
