[Chico Escuela]Baitbole bin belly, belly, gude to me…[/Chico Escuela]
Reminds me of when I was working on Bessie.
The guy who does my paint had some the Sportie with its almost tavern sign/tombstone thing. When I was working out my plans for the Road Kow I went to talk to him about painting it. All I said was I was looking for some paint when he said “Please – no flames or skulls. For almost a solid year all I’ve painted is flames and skulls”. I told him what I had planned - making it look like a giant milk cow - and he got out his notebook and pencil and said “Now just what kind of flaming skulls would you like?”
No – I’m serious. I want the cow thing. He did it (and it turned out freaking fantastic) but we had a deal going in; if it was done and he didn’t like it he would make it solid white or black and I was still on the hook for the full tab. IE - it ain’t cool, it ain’t leaving my shop. But we both love her now so its cool. He just gets nervous and develops a tick any time I say “You know what would be cool?”
Happy Tuesday!
Short week this week - taking off Friday & Monday to head up to a cabin in th mountains with friends & family. Weather looks darned good.
Spent last weekend with the folks - well really I left early Sunday to beat the beach traffic but ended up caught behind a combine on Rt 50 prior to 404, then a terrible slowdown on the Bay Bridge… people were rubbernecking at the Chesapeake Bay Swim going on 100’ below us.
I hadn’t gotten around to putting in the window ACs yet. 10:30pm Sunday night, as sweat tickled off me while I laid in bed I gave up and installed them in the two customary windows.
Slept well that night.
Just back from Waldorf. **FCD **had to order the clearcoat for when he’s done painting. We’ll go back tomorrow to pick it up.
He’s decided against the flames, but he is doing something with skulls. Personally, I think skulls are too overdone, but it’s his bike and I’m just totin’ labor.
Chickie salad for supper tonight, sides, TBD. Chillin’ till then.
Howdy from da cave! 'Tis 97 out with a heat index of 105. A/C is a good thing. Soonish I shall begin makeage of dindin.
I went to the store and took some cans back and got milk and apples with the money. Isn’t my life exciting.
Waiting for the weather on the radio now.
The local weather PTB have just informed da bear that this area is under a heat advisory and that I should drink plenty of water and stay in the air conditioner. I don’t think I can get in my air conditioner.
Well, do your best. Keep trying to squeeze in there. Try holding your breath.
Just watch out for getting fur caught in the fan blades.
We had a snake get into our outdoor a/c unit in FL. Then the fan came on. It was pretty disgusting.
Just got a call from the Harley dealer (FINALLY!!) We can pick up our check after 4 tomorrow. So that’s good news.
I just finished putting together the chickie salad - when **FCD **comes back up from his shop, we’ll eat.
Still too freekin’ hot!
I don’t have an air conditioner, but my bedroom is in the basement, so it doesn’t usually get too hot.
Cheesy it is! Huzzah!
Thanks for the assorted welcomes, everyone! I’ve been lurking in here since swampy was posting pictures of Christmas ornaments with polar bears on 'em. Since before Lissla had kids. Since HazelNutCoffee. Since, oh, it’s too depressing to count up the time
I’m in the armpit and I have internet.
So it is for sure something wrong with the router and not my computer.
I finally got rid of aol, somehow it got made my home page and it totally sucks. No matter what I was doing the aol homepage would come up and knock me out of the site I was on.
Thank y’all for the well wishes. I just found out I am first in line so I have to be there by 6am. Getting up at 3:30 is gonna be rough but it will be good to get it over with nice and early.
Then once I get out of the hospital I can work on getting somebody to drive me home.
Anyway I have much to do, I have to irk tonight. I kind of wish I had taken off but no irk=no pay. Then I have to get my bag ready for tomorrow and I have to take a bath tonight and tomorrow and use some damn disinfecting wipes.
I’d rather just get some sleep.
I think Cheesy may be a Britisher spy. Don’t give away the secret hot tub location just yet.
The fish store contest to win a discount on coral was “What is the name of the Thai dish that is made from minced raw fish, lime juice and living red ants that causes liver cancer?”
I Googled this.
Dindin has been consumed and the kitchen is clean. There’s enough left for both of us to have sketties 'n meatballs for N.O.L. tomorrow, so yay.
flytrap make that and tell us how it tastes, if you survive, that is.
In other news The Devil’s beatin’ his wife.
I’d never heard that phrase before.
Chickie salad was yum. I also had some cherries which weren’t all that good. Oh well. Can’t all be winners.
One hears it quite a bit in the South. My Mother also said, “When the sun is drawing water, it will rain again tomorrow”.
We had a really good rain shower for a little over an hour. My unofficial rain gauge says it rained a little over an inch.
I think shortly I shall turn in for the night.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
