I went to high school with siblings Elizabeth and Zachary Taylor. The service department rep who took care of me last week at the local Toyota dealer is Jack (Jackson) Lord, and one of their salesmen is Billy Graham.
I rode in Michael Jackson’s cab in New Orleans. I also know Christine Aquilera.
My parents have some friends who are married couple named Marge and Homer. Their last name is not Simpson, however, and the have one child, a daughter named Jennifer.
There used to be a Dr. Frank Zappa in Chicago; he was a podiatrist. And I have filled prescriptions written by Dr. William Barry from Athens, GA (he’s a dermatologist) and also one for http://www.caverject.com from a urologist named Dr. Wiener. :eek:
There’s a guy (I think he’s a wildlife biologist) around nere named David Bird. He used to write a column about birds for the local newspaper.
I know three substance abuse therapists with interesting last names.
One is Martini, another Biers and the third signs his name B. Heyer.
Nearby there is veterinarian Dr.Kind.
And I went to grade school with Glen Miller.
I was attending a celebration in Decorah, IA and was startled to see the Lynch Law Office.
When I briefly lived in New Jersey, there was a gynecologist there named Seymour Kuntz. I’m sure he changed his name after choosing his profession.
And when I was a kid, I knew a girl named Penny Stamps.
And I once met a guy named Dick Pounder.
And I once worked with a kid named Carmen Miranda. When I met him, I asked whether he was related to the famous Carmen Miranda. He said he had never heard of her. I always thought it strange that he shared a name with someone famous, but nobody ever mentioned it to him.
When I was a kid, my family’s dentist was Dr. Achen. (And, yes, he does pronounce it with a long “A”.)
His office was in the same building as an obstetrician named Dr. Love.
There was a girls’ gym teacher at our rival high school named Miss Lust, and she sure was aptly named.
My friend from college was named Harley David Stone (Harley Davidson).
The oral surgeon who removed my wisdom teeth was Dr. Slaughter.
My dad once roofed the house of a woman named Penny Lane.
He also did work for a man named LH Kurtley. The LH did not stand for anything. It was just pronounced “L” “H” just like that. I thought it was so odd.

There was an orthopedic surgeon named Dr. Bonebreak at a hospital where I worked .
A place I used to work at had a guy named G. Steele Irons. He was, of course, a metallurgist.
