He talks about how horrible it is in N. Korea and how he hopes one day the regime will crumble. And how they’re hoping Trump is re-elected. I don’t think I could have taken the risks he did to flee.
Not surprising at all. Trump even saluted a North Korean general, IIRC. If I’m Kim then of course I’d rather have the easily-bamboozled Trump to wrangle for concessions than going up against Kamala.
And Putin wanted Trump instead of Clinton. Because Trump can be bought. Or blackmailed.
Or just intimidated.
Both of these are true, but the sadder and truer fact is that Trump sees the US as his company, and he has no problem trading away parts of “his” company for his own interests, glory, and convenience. He calls it a “deal” and people think he’s done something skilful, rather than giving away what’s ours to feather his own nest.
What Putin really wants is to see the USA tearing itself apart, which rumors like this are doing quite effectively.
And of course, Obama giving concessions to Cuba for nothing in return was much better.
Both are true. We’ll never really know who ended up with a bunch of top secret info.
Cuba ain’t Russia and Cuba ain’t North Korea.
