Amusing. Ninety days ago I bought a Netgear wireless router. The info provided and the setup procedure was excellent, had no problems at all. They even provided a CD with more info. It also had 90-day free phone tech support, which never needed.
I paid around $40 for the router. Today I got an email saying my free support was about to expire, but if I wanted, I could sign up for six months of support for the bargain cost of **only ** $65.95!
As can still get a new one with free support for under $40, why would anybody go for this? How many of these policies do you suppose they sell?
