If I take a moment to imagine what it’s like in the England camp, the I can say with all sincerity, at least the Australians are having fun.

2 huge games tomorrow! I expect to wake up at 3am and watch about 10 straight hours of cricket. Not sure Pakistan can win by enough to flip the NRR on NZ, but they could put severe pressure on them for their final game, especially as they are reeling. And as I said before, everyone not Australian will be backing England.
New Zealand have not, it is fair to say, allowed the pressure of the situation to weigh on them unduly.

Amazing innings from Fakhar so far, unfortunately interrupted by rain. But Pak ahead of the DLS target. Is that a big advantage for them? I would think that the DLS target at the end of each over would dictate the pace of scoring that they should maintain, reducing the uncertainty of not knowing if you have enough balls remaining to chase down that big total.

The highest score a team has failed to defend in a World Cup is 344, when Pakistan beat Sri Lanka at the start of this WC.
A week ago “we” looked gone for all money. If this result holds we could lined up for another spanking by India in the semifinals.
England will need to actually score some runs if they’re going to win this, but there’s a long way to go yet.
Pak take the win! That leaves a lot of teams still in the running (including, mathematically, England), and that’s good for the competition.
