International cricket rolling thread

No idea about WinViz, but at no time did I see NZ at a price better than 10-3 (~25%) and that was just before the Williamson wicket. I believe they were 12-1 at the start of their innings.

It’s just really, really hard to maintain 10 RPO for twenty overs even with eight wickets in hand.

Meanwhile, SA are finding it hard to maintain 4 RPO. 44/4 in 14 overs!

A rain break now though, which might give them a chance to snap out of it.

I’m only able to follow along on CricInfo but it must be hard for Miller and Klaasen to hunker down like this.

ETA: and Klaasen has had enough. Two sixes.

It’s not looking good, though…

SA decide to make Head look like a world class spinner.
127-6 off 33

Well they got a hundred more than they looked like getting three hours ago.

Smart aggressive batting by Australia. Looks to be an easy chase. India will face the one team that nobody wants to face in the Final.

Australia’s bowlers need to score 38 runs. South Africa’s bowlers need to take 4 wickets.

Odds clearly with Australia but not impossible that someone is going to step up and be a hero. (Or “do a Gareth Morgan”, as it were).

Every time SA get a wicket, they just need one more wicket and they’ll be right back in the game.

Yet again the Proteas drag out a loss in the most agonizing way possible. At least their world cup performance is consistant.

CWC Final
AUS win toss and elect to bowl.
I guess the theory is that previous games have indicated its a bit easier to chase than set.
Which depends very much on how many you are chasing.

IND’s final to lose. Rather large weight of expectation on them.

India living dangerously so far. Both openers could easily be out.

Starch’s first delivery to Gil @ 140k who gets a genuine outside edge and it doesn’t carry to 1st slip. [shrug]

Australia dominating now. India has to rely on lower order and bowling.

Remarkably, even after the Kohli wicket, India is still favored on my Sportsbook, Caesar’s.

That might be due to not having to face India’s bowling attack! :upside_down_face:
They could defend a total of 200. Not getting excited down here yet!

With just SKY and the bowlers left, and India just barely past 200, I almost feel India should throw caution to the wind and whack away. This might give their bowlers a better chance, with the dew looming.

At 211-6 after 43, India still at 57% on Bet365. Punters have a lot of confidence in their bowling.

Aus 47/2 chasing what seems like a low 240.
Aus’s to throw away, you’d think, although the Indian bowling attack is decent.

Smith gone and so are Australia’s chances.
