Tricky, tricky. I am definitely spending two weeks in Europe either in the late summer or fall, depending on various sundry conditions. All y’all can get together whenever you want, just as long as you were willing to drag your arses out to the pub again when I’m in town.
I will be invading England on or around July 6th, and will be available for fun in London from some time around then until about the 20th.
Since most of what I know of London comes from watching National Lampoon’s European Vacation, I would welcome the chance to hang out with some natives who know what’s going on.
Well, Kaylyn and I have decided that a horseback ride through Hyde Park would be fun (imagine: she asked if I had ever ridden a horse before!).
I think taking the tunnel to Paris is probably out - she wasn’t keen on going and I don’t think I can face the innumerable French hordes alone; even at my best I could never defeat that many.
What about Wales and Scotland? Surely there must be some fun things to do there…
I think what I shall do is pick up that book by the Steves fellow that always seems to be on PBS. He goes to some neat places…

I just found a suitable ticket for EUR 150 for that weekend, well, it’s for Stansted. I’d arrive friday evening, and leave sunday night.
Here’s the deal: if one of the Londopers will put me up for two nights (preferably with a roof) I’m game.

Well since Anahita can’t make it, and I have a feeling Twisty might be staying with somene else (snicker) I might be able to put you up :). I can’t make any promises yet but I’ll certainly look into it and get back to you. Annie can attest to the comfort (or otherwise) of the spare bed.
Ideally, I’ll be in London sometime between Aug 1 and Aug 5. If the dopefest is Aug 3rd… I guess I can swing that!
