I just got a letter from these folks:

I got one a few years ago, too. They tell me I have been “referred, or selected, as a potential candidate” for their directory. They want no money, credit or financial information. But I figure I’m not really that important in my field, so it must be some sort of scam. So what’s their deal?

They’ll try to sell you a copy of the book. I’m not sure whether that’s a requirement for inclusion, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it were.
