I’ve just logged on to the Internet and clicked on the Favourites button in MSE and they’ve all disappeared!! What have I done to do this. Where could they have disappeared to ? Help !!
Check and see if the Windows > Favorites folder still contains your links. If it does, I’d try reinstalling I.E. (if you are using Win98 or earlier, if youhave Win98SE or higher, you can try using windows update to get the latest version. If you have 2000 or any other NT-based Windows, you can use Add/Remove Programs to repair some installations). If it doesn’t, then something cleaned them out. Norton and others make software that can undelete files if they haven’t been overwritten. However, installing anything can overwrite the very files you were trying to recover, so unless you have one of those utilities already installed, it’s a catch-22. Also could hurt to peek in your Recycle Bin. If someone deleted them for some reason, they may be there.
