Internet Mind Reading Test

I will read your mind over the Internet! (cue spooky music)

Okay, who wants to dance? Let’s play. All you have to do is think of a holiday that contains the letter N.

Take your time. (whistles a tune to pass the time)

Do you have it yet? Remember, to check for the N – it can be anywhere in the name of the holiday.

Okay, everyone ready? Is it…Thanksgiving?
Otherwise is it…New Year
If not, then you win!!!

Poll to come. Feel free to post the answer you used, but please use a spoiler box.

I first thought of Valentines Day. I would like my corvette to be green with black racing strips. When you have bought it I will send you my address.

You didn’t read my mine. I thought of St. Swithun’s Day

Amazing. I also thought of

St. Swithin’s Day

Sorry, my mind instantly went toSt. Swithin’s Day

I thought the “cue spooky music” was a hint.

And I don’t know how to do spoiler tags, embarrassingly enough. :smack:

You may want to recalibrate your Internet. You didn’t read my mind either; I was thinking of

Kwanzaa

D’oh! Didn’t get any of those. Dang Swithun was my third guess, too.

I’m a wiener! I was thinking of Hanukkah and I’m not even Jewish.

You didn’t match me, but I was thinking of Arbor Day.

Regards,
Shodan

I thought Samhain and Beltane. I guess there’s some bias there… I’m also not American, and have never heard of St. Swithin’s Day (is it a popular thing?).

Another IMR failure. Mine was: Canada Day

Halloween was mine.

My psychic armor remains inviolable. First thing that came to mind was St. Valentine’s Day.

After that came to mind, I did a little bit of thinking to make sure that there wasn’t only one holiday with an ‘n’ in its name, and came up with Ramadan.

I also thought of Halloween. I kind of figured everyone would.

My first thought was President’s Day

My second thought was Martin Luther King’s Birthday

You missed it:

Groundhog Day

Sorry, you failed. I’m French and the first name that came to my mind was “Noel” (Christmas). Then I tried to remember the word “Thanksgiving”, but somehow I blanked out and was unable to conjure it up (It’s not “Turkey’s day”, it’s not “Dinner with the in laws day”, how the hell do they call it?)

Remembrance Day. And Hallowe’en and Valentine’s day aren’t holidays because I don’t get them off work.

St. Swithin’s Day isn’t quite as popular as Christmas, Thanksgiving, or Halloween but it is the 4th or 5th biggest American holiday slightly ahead of the 4th of July. I know it is mainly an American holiday but I am surprised you have never heard of it. I thought the elaborately costumed livestock pageants would have universal appeal.

I didn’t think of St. Swithin’s Day however. My first thought was:

Sadie Hawkins Day
