Internet Radio Players

My brother is looking to ditch Sirius once his subscription runs out, and wants to look in to at-home internet radio players (such as this).

Any Dopers use one of these types appliances? What do you think? Any recommendations?

If there have been previous threads on this, links would be appreciated as well.

My brother bought a Squeezbox last spring. There are 5 different models, some of them incorporate speakers, others need to be plugged into an existing stereo. He has the Boom, an all-in-one unit with both LAN and wifi. You can play local files from your computer or external harddrive or stream audio directly over the net.

Very cool piece of equipment. I’ll probably end up getting one sometime this winter.

I have a roku soundbridge. I use it mostly to play music stored on my computer. I have not messed much with the Internet radio stuff but it works with most streaming mp3 urls. They also have one with built in speakers. It is cheaper than the squeeze box. But squeeze box looks like it may have more features.
